Flexx Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 Looking forward to this one!! Barca are meant to be playing Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Messi up front, so i can see them winning 2-0 on the night and going through. But come on Liverpool (And Porto) Liverpool v Barcelona (agg 2-1) Champions League first knock-out round, second leg Date: Tuesday 6 March Kick off: 1945 GMT Venue: Anfield First-leg score: 2-1 Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has no major injury worries with only long-term absentees Luis Garcia and Harry Kewell missing. Peter Crouch has had no after-effects from the Manchester United game, in which he played with a broken nose. Barcelona will have playmaker Deco and Lilian Thuram available after they were both rested for the game at Sevilla. Samuel Eto'o, who missed the first leg through a protracted recovery from a knee injury, is also in the squad. Liverpool (from): Reina, Finnan, Arbeloa, Carragher, Agger, Hyypia, Riise, Aurelio, Pennant, Sissoko, Alonso, Gerrard, Gonzalez, Mascherano, Dudek, Crouch, Bellamy, Kuyt, Fowler. Barcelona (from): Victor Valdes, Jorquera, Marquez, Zambrotta, Thuram, Puyol, Presas, Edmilson, Sylvinho, Giuly, Xavi, Iniesta, Eto'o, Messi, Ronaldinho, Deco, Gudjohnsen, Saviola.
Leicfox Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 From 15 attempts, no team from the big five has ever failed to qualify after an away win in the first leg, so Barcelona will have to buck some serious trends to qualify at Liverpool’s expense
Spee-d Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 Eto'o is their biggest threat, the one who could get Barca through. I cant see it happening though, Liverpool are hard to beat in europe, wel organized etc. There's gonna be one hell of an atmosphere too which will unsettle the Barca lot.

Had a dream Monday night that Liverpool fuked this tie up. So I'm going 2-0 Barce goals from Eto'd and Messi.
Sods Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 I think this game should be great probaly watch this one or bayern v real madrid that was awesome last game. But the kop should be awesome tonightand derseves to be listen to
Guest Gist Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 I'm quite confident Liverpool will go through. Hopefully it's a good game with plenty of goals.
Joe. Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 Barca have to and probably will play much better than they did in the first leg. With the firepower of Ronaldinho, Messi and Eto'o back in action I predict a Barca win and for them to go through. 2-0.
The Reverend Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 This could be a seriously good match (0-0 now iv said that) although 0-0 would be good for Liverpool. The loss against Manure wont of gave the Scousers much confidence but havent they only conceded about 5 goals all season at home and like somebody said earlier, no team from the big 5 has ever had such a lead and lost it So Barca need to score a few goals (when Liverpool dont concede goals at home) so for me it has to be Liverpool to go through. 0-0 Although that little Tw@t Messi will probably score God i hate him!!
dandannieldanok Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 I may get slated for this but c'mon Barce, I just don't like Liverpool's style.
The Reverend Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 I may get slated for this but c'mon Barce, I just don't like Liverpool's style. C'mon, it has to be the English team Liverpools style? So you'd rather watch a bit of passing and movement , some cheating here and there then a load of dives chucked in between all that. I know what i prefer edit: plus Liverpool have Gerrard and Carragher come on you Scousers!

I admit I don't like scousers which is part of the reason why I don't want them to win but I just prefer the pure football Barce play. As for cheating, Gerrard is certainly no saint, just ask Neil Warnock. Also think back to the England - Hungary friendly last November.

So what is that some kind of phobia or have you met every scouser and just didn't like one of them?

As for cheating, Gerrard is certainly no saint, just ask Neil Warnock. Also think back to the England - Hungary friendly last November. Oh come on thats so harsh. Ok the Hungary incident. But how can anything that comes out of that tw@t Warnocks mouth be viable? The blokes an idiot. The pen Gerrard won aginst them in the first game was just unlucky for Warnock - it was a foul but Gerrard stayed up and tried to score - some refs give em some dont As for the other 2 one was blatant and the other, well, how could the player who put his arm across him be so stupid. Gerrard was looking for it yes but it was stupid to do that
dandannieldanok Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 So what is that some kind of phobia or have you met every scouser and just didn't like one of them? Perhaps I have tarred them all with one brush but remember when Alan Smith broke his leg at Anfield, scouse fans chucked bricks at the ambulance. There are many other similar events I can pick upon involving both Liverpudlians and Evertonians.

Come on surely all fans do this sort of thing its just 'cos its Liverpool "ah Hillsborough Disaster them Scousers are right cnuts"
dandannieldanok Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 Come on surely all fans do this sort of thing its just 'cos its Liverpool "ah Hillsborough Disaster them Scousers are right cnuts" I can't think of any other fans of English teams that cause as much trouble as they do.
The Reverend Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 I can't think of any other fans of English teams that cause as much trouble as they do. Well maybe, but like you said yourself i think you're just tarring them all with the same brush. Stereotype (however true): Scousers = troublemakers
Leonisco Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 This will be one hell of a game. Can't wait to see Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Deco and Messi together. That is a ridiculously good front four.

Ridiculously overrated i think. If i was Mourinho or Sir Alex for example the only players id would think "yeah i want him" would be Eto'o and Ronaldinho. I just think that Deco is good at times and uninvolved at others (although his dirty little cheating style may have something to do with my dislike of him). As for Messi, well, hes always injured and anyone who wears boots against Chelsea that have "Maradona Hand of God" on them needs to be sorted out. How could you glorify an act that was blatant cheating- its beyond me- but ah well If he plays hopefully Gerrard will knoble the little injury prone tw@t

They're all going to fire more blanks than the Territorial's on a weekend training exercise. Come on you Reds.
