Liverpool v Barcelona

I can't think of any other fans of English teams that cause as much trouble as they do.

Nonsence, all English clubs have their fair share of idiots.

Liverpool fans are generally quite welcoming.

12 minutes in and Liverpool are all over Barcelona.

And just for the record, I can't stand Eto'o.

Chelsea are losing :)

Great effort from Riise. I think the bar is still rattling. :P

Ridiculously overrated i think.

If i was Mourinho or Sir Alex for example the only players id would think "yeah i want him" would be Eto'o and Ronaldinho.

I just think that Deco is good at times and uninvolved at others (although his dirty little cheating style may have something to do with my dislike of him).

As for Messi, well, hes always injured and anyone who wears boots against Chelsea that have "Maradona Hand of God" on them needs to be sorted out. How could you glorify an act that was blatant cheating- its beyond me- but ah well

If he plays hopefully Gerrard will knoble the little injury prone tw@t

Behave. Mourinho would Thuram Marquez or Puyol with the problems he's got at the back.

Agreed on Messi, he's still young though.

It's really not happening for Barcelona yet tonight. Liverpool have got it right, defending deep and letting them knock it about knowing that the play is all in front of the back four.

Barcelona could do with someone like Drogba coming off the bench.

Stereotype (however true): Scousers = troublemakers

As much as lcfc8hume = cretin?

What a superb first half, just the kind of thing managers across the country should do...defend a lead by attacking.

I wonder if Kelly is watching?

Barcelona just have to focus on scoring twice, regardless of whether Liverpool score at any point during the second half. It's a fascinating system, the away goals one. This game at the moment reminds me of when we won 2-1 at Sunderland in the League Cup semi-final. In the return leg at Filbo, Quinn scored for them to make it 2-2 on aggregate and then Cottee equalised on the night to make it 3-2 to us at which point the place went mental. It was as much a psychological blow as anything because Sunderland still had to score twice in the match, as they had to do at the start, to prevent us from winning after 90 minutes. If Sunderland had scored again when Keller saved brilliantly from Quinn in the second half, it would have gone to extra time and their momentum may have carried them through. Similar scenario tonight.

Gerrard's not playing very well - passes to Barcalona, crosses too close to the keeper etc.

Cue a piece of brilliance from him now!!!

 I think he has been as inspirational as ever tbh.

Can't understand why they have brought Pennant here?
