I don't think it is, if you've worked hard to try and get it. Got a B in Geography, a B in chemistry, and an A in Geology. I was disappointed with the B's, to be honest, if I can say that without looking like an arrogant twat. Especially the Geography. The geology result was a proper suprise though. Shame it's come in the subject I couldn't really give a shit about.

Shame it's come in the subject I couldn't really give a shit about. The key to an A in Geography is to make up the case studies. Spend the time learning the actual stuff, the top level of the mark scheme goes on about "relating it to a specific place" or something similar when answering a case study question. They don't know everything about everywhere so you can get away with that. That was a few years back, not sure if it's the same now. The way I got by in A-level equivalent courses was to collect all the books and notes from my classes, and then not study any of them. It got me into a mathematics degree in the two universities I applied for... so I think I did alright out of no effort.

I think I could do it again now and do better with a little bit of revision. Happy with the rest. Biology's about my hardest subject so a B is good I think.
