OriginalRobboFOX Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Geo is the important bit of my name as thats the first three letters of my first name. Its also the part of my name is is scattered on the back of my Leicester City shirts that graces the 5-a-side pitches around London. Its always great to see the locals look and laugh at the shirt asking "who?" and are we "in the conference". Barstewards!!! Only ever had one footballer's name on my shirts, the big man himself..... Roberts as in Iwan.... Its funny tho that whenever you go abroad, no matter where you are there is always one other Leicester fan that you see and shout 'Blue Army!!!!' and they give a 'Whheeyyyyy!!!'.....
The People's Hero Posted 29 March 2007 Posted 29 March 2007 Whenever I go on holiday, there seems to be Leicester fans everywhere. I think we're quite numerous, we just don't go to matches because it's sh it.

Its weird mate as i have seen City fans everywhere. I dont know why our club has so many supporters all over the world but trust me Ive seen plenty! One of my fav memories was back in 1997 when we were on a lads holiday in Florida and we were at Universal Studios. 5 lads, just two City fans (me and my brother). The old tropical weather set in from nowhere and from 100 degrees it was bucketing down and everyone was taking cover. Me and the other lads decided to make a run for the car park instead of heading for shelter like most normal people so on the count of 3 we all started to leg it. Halfway down and getting soaked to fook two lads came running towards us in Leicester shirts. Two big old bald lads that looked like Right Said Fred on a KFC diet. They spotted our Leicester shirts and ran up in the conditions to ask "Are you Leicester?" (bright fellas) and for the next few seconds we started jumping up and down like a scene out of Rocky when he ran up them steps. Why we started celebrating like we were at Wembley and had just won the FA Cup no-one knows but I can remember the look on the faces of my mates who were envious that no-one had ran upto them and there Arsenal/Spurs shirts ! Leicester till I die! Wooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
The People's Hero Posted 29 March 2007 Posted 29 March 2007 I got speaking to guy on holiday who was wearing a Leicester shirt (an old one). I regretted it because not only was he a rich idiot with a snooty wife (one of those people who go on holiday just to moan/complain) but he also evidently knew nothing of LCFC. He was going on about how Hesko was rubbish (Hesko??) and that's why we wouldn't get back to them prem. This was a fair while after we'd sold Hesk(o). In fact, he was probably on about his 3rd club down the line by then. Even my girlfriend knew that.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. It seems to be a general rule that whenever I go to Alton Towers I see at least 3 people in City shirts. Wasn't there a survey recently saying we've got the 12th largest number of fans in Britain?

If we're the 12th biggest, where the hell is everyone? Apart from on Holiday, bitching about Hesko or hanging around Oblivion at Alton Towers? I reckon that survey was conducted exclusively outside Melton Mowbray.
