Flexx Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Every free kick and corner he took today was poor. Whats Kelly thinking of? The bloke is only there to take players out, he can't play football, so why is he taking the set pieces
Daggers Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 The bloke is only there to take players out, he can't play football, so why is he taking the set pieces Simply unbelievable.
Guest Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 We don't exactly have dead ball specialists fighting to take them. By the way, didn't Hume take a free kick at some stage? The one that forced a save?

Certaintly must be on Milan's shopping list though - dead ball specialist, along with a leader on the pitch which we sadly lack

The bloke is only there to take players out, he can't play football, so why is he taking the set pieces The amount of quality deliveries he has put in this season has been good. Just look at the majority of Kisnorbo's goals.
Joe. Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 It's not as if we have a choice of who takes free kicks to put a good ball into the box. They're all poor. Levi can put a great ball in when he wants, so I would go for him.

I didn't think his set-pieces were too bad, just lacking pace, and the fact we had no targets in the box.
Bert Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Earlier on in the season if i remember correctly, his set-pieces were awesome.Contributed to a number of goals. It's either him or Hughes.

Flexx Posted 6 April 2007 Author Posted 6 April 2007 He runs about like a fooking headless chicken and you lot are saying he can play football. He can play a bit at left mid but definitely not in the centre.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Either Porter or Tiatto take a decent set piece. Hughes suffers from the same floaty-bollocks syndrome that Williams did. We only really had Kisnorbo offering a threat in the air today and with Darren Moore around to mark him, we had nothing else. McAuley offers so much more.

Bert Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 That cross that found the North Stand was f'ckn superb, real moment of skill that was. That scuffed corner of Hughes was AWESOME though wasn't it.

BartonFox Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 That scuffed corner of Hughes was AWESOME though wasn't it. Stayed in play though and didn't hit some poor unsuspecting Grannie did it

Exactly why I said when he wants Barton.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Stayed in play though and didn't hit some poor unsuspecting Grannie did it Nah but I think his shot did.
Bert Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Stayed in play though and didn't hit some poor unsuspecting Grannie did it I wish his shot'd have hit you.
BartonFox Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Exactly why I said when he wants Barton. You serious? Are you telling me he didn't want to do to cross it in? Give me strength.
Joe. Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 :laugh:You serious? Are you telling me he didn't want to do to cross it in? Give me strength. It's a figure of speech Barton.
