weggy1976 Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 IT TAKES NO SCIENTIST TO WORK OUT THIS SEASONS PROBLEM. A DREADFUL HOME RECORD....6-8-6 WITH JUST 23 GOALS !! THE FEWEST GOALS SCORED AT HOME BY ANY CLUB IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP, AND ONLY SOUTHEND HAVE A WORSE HOME RECORD. YET LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE STADIUMS! NEED TO PLAY ATTACKING FOOTBALL NEXT SEASON IF WE HAVE ANY CHANCE. LETS HOPE WE DON'T FALL INTO THE SAME TRAP AS LAST SEASON. WORTHO KEEPS US UP AND GETS JOB, WE'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE AND IT DOESN'T WORK. WHAT STRIKERS SHOULD MANDARIC GO OUT AND BUY TO GET US OUT THIS DIVISION ??
Tommeh Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Good point, certainly if I were an away fan a trip to the walkers would be a perfect away day. Nice stadium, in a decent place to create an atmosphere, big possibility of winning and being allowed to stand.. In answer to your post I'd love to see Billy Sharp here but I do fear he'll be attracting interest from a few premiership clubs aswell as a whole host of championship ones.
dandannieldanok Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 WHAT STRIKERS SHOULD MANDARIC GO OUT AND BUY TO GET US OUT THIS DIVISION ?? Forsell perhaps, although improving the creative talent in midfield is more important.
75% fox 25%spongebob Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 WHAT STRIKERS SHOULD MANDARIC GO OUT AND BUY TO GET US OUT THIS DIVISION ?? I don't know why but I think we may get Huckerby, because as i've said before I think Huckerby will realise that Norwich are going nowhere now and will see that Leicester will be creating a new team in the summer with Milan's Financial input. I've heard things about Forsell and I don't think that would be a bad buy. Also i've heard about Todorov being almost Leicesters which i'm not too sure about. Tough if Leicester were to buy no strikers I wouldn't be too dissapointed as Matty Fryatt is back who I believe is Leicester's best striker.
STUHILL Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 Forsell perhaps, although improving the creative talent in midfield is more important. Freddy eastward and Todorov

Huckerby recently signed a new deal so I dont see that happening. Eastwood surprised me with his comments to the press this week when he said he would go to a bigger Championship club or the Premiership. He`ll do anything to get out of the caravan that lad . To get back on topic, you are right, our home form is shite. Most sides rely on home form above everything else and ours has been a shocker. I put it down to lower teams who have shite stadiums coming to us and its like an FA Cup Semi for them, they also raise theer game as they are playing on a great pitch and the other minor factor is atmosphere generated by us home fans which could be better at times and is a far cry from the old days. Hopefully we have now settled into the new stadium and next season we will be awesome at home.
DB11 Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 What's with the capitals? As for your questoin, the strikers are more than good enough for Leicester City and I think that we need better midfielders, ones who can provide our strikers with the ball. Midfielders with a bit of flare
MC Prussian Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 Apart from Porter, McAuley and Kisnorbo maybe, you can smoke the rest of the "team" in a pibe. It was an unfortunate affair for Fryatt to be injured for so long, he could've score a couple more goals just like the one against Derby. Hume looks like a shattered self and has lost his form almost completely.

Midfielders with a bit of flare Spot on Dannyboy, I've always maintained that our problem as a team stems from the fact that we have a poor, unbalanced and non-cohesive midfield. The defence have no confidence in the guys in front of them and hence hoof the ball up our forwards who were back in the midfield anyway trying to get the ball.
SystonFox Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 another interesting point i have noticed, bears no relevance whatsoever - but since mandaric took over and the cov game where N block has started, only 1 goal for LCFC has gone in at "the kop" end. this was humes penalty vs QPR.
Camels Toe Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 Im sure Harry Redknapp was wanting Todorov to sign a new deal at Portsmouth?

Midfielders with a bit of flare Hammond, Horsfield, Cadamarteri..... Are you sure they're good enough? I agree with the fact that we need a couple of midfielders with a bit of class and hopefully the summer's the time we can get somebody in.

Are you telling me that teams with good stadiums have a right to win games, and teams like Southend must lose? I think you should take a look at Colchester's home record and then you might notice your wrong. I see your point but the problem last time is that it was Kelly's first job in management. He's better of a coach than a manager. Worthington has been there and done it, even if he isn't the fans first choice. And the last point, we don't have a divine right to be in the Premiership. Why must we be in the Premiership? The player's underperforming this year could easily perform next season if we have a decent, confident team. Oh, strikers may get the goals but they don't guarantee us promotion. We need the midfielders to chip in aswell, aswell as the defenders which hasn't been a problem this year.
