Ric Flair Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 And it is...Charlton vs Leicester 61134 We have an awful record away at Charlton. Having said that they are shocking in cup games. Disappointed.
Katy Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 And it is...Charlton vs Leicester 61134 Could go either way that one!
breadandcheese Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 I hate the valley. Bolton, Charlton and Newcastle were the only teams I didn't want. Going to be tough, but we it's about time we won at the valley.
Louise Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 Full draw was: Bolton vs Derby/Fulham WBA/Spurs vs Forest Everton vs Man U Charlton vs Leicester Burnley vs Blackburn Southampton vs Brentford/Hartlepool Newcastle vs Chelsea Arsenal vs West Ham/Sheffield Utd
Samu Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 Weyhey! No I did not make this prediction after the draw was made but it was me who predicted a draw against Charlton, I do believe I was the only person to predict it in the poll Edit-Just checked the polls again and Charlton now has 2 votes, looks like some cheeky git sneaked in a vote for them after the draw was made.
MADLEVEIN Posted 31 January 2005 Author Posted 31 January 2005 good draw we can at least take 5000+ i imagine and have a good day. intresting with forest possibly playing spurs the same day !!
Louise Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 Did anyone else hear Levein's reaction to the draw? I swear he said they were working on getting in a last minute signing before the window closed but I wasn't paying close enough attention

I swear he said they were working on getting in a last minute signing before the window closed but I wasn't paying close enough attention 61171 Levein gets confused, he kept saying he might make a signing or two in january after his first month or so in the job. I think at times he doesn't realise we are exempt from the transfer window that the premiership has to obide by. Or perhaps he's trying to sign a premiership/scottish player who are involved in the transfer window and they won't sell outside the transfer window due to them not being able to replace them. All hypothetical as it wouldn't give the team much time to find a replacement. Let's hope it Kenny Deuchar from Gretna.
Louise Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 Well, I wasn't so crazy Craig found the interview. http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/realmedia/s...draw_levein.ram (you need RealMedia to listen) If you can't be bothered to listen: Jon (interviewer): With Martin Keown departing [as well as Elliott], there's a couple of really experienced defenders that have left, are you anywhere nearer to getting new faces in, do you think? Levein: Well, we're working on something today, something that might happen at the last minute. But at this moment in time there's nothing certain. So, um, I'll keep you informed. Jon: Wasn't anything to do with the phone call you just had was it? Levein: (laughs) Yeah, I've been scurrying about for the last hour, trying to get something to happen. I'll let you know, there's nothing that's happening imminently.

Guest Daniel Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 Considering the train, would the Forest lads be on the same one? Could be fun.
Leicester_Mad Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 we can beat Charlton and on the transfer front, we can only sign players from the English league after today, so he might have his eyes on someone across the border
Teeno Posted 31 January 2005 Posted 31 January 2005 I went down on the train last season was a nice little trip. Main away pub is next to station and we were there in under 2 hours. We went direct from Leicester to some station in London (not sure which one) then Tube to Charlton.
