Spee-d Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 Anyone watching? I hope Oscar gives him a good beating. That is all.
Simi Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 If I'm up at 2am I shall watch this. Looks like it could be a really good fight.
Leicfox Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 I'd love to watch but i wonlt be able to stay awake. So i'll most probs tape it and watch it in the morning (early), or catch the re-run and try and avoid the result. I fancy Oscar to win though.
Tevez Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 I hope Oscar batters that cocky twat, but it will be a good fight. Sky Plus for me.
C-man Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 I'm recording it. I want, and think that Floyd will beat De La Hoya
lcfc_jme Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 Mayweather will win it I think, but he'll be punished if he gets too cocky. I wish it'd just hurry up and come on 'cos I'm getting tired now.
lildave3 Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 Mayweather will win it I think, but he'll be punished if he gets too cocky. I wish it'd just hurry up and come on 'cos I'm getting tired now. Screw this, Wossy's on
lcfc_jme Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 I'd give myself a 2 out of 10. You'd rather watch Jonathan Ross on the TV than watch Mayweather and De La Hoya beat the hell out of each other? I'd say you're up there around 9 or 10 out of 10 on the homo scale.

I'd say you're up there around 9 or 10 out of 10 on the homo scale. But the fight's on downstairs, too much activity for my liking. And i'm pure knackered.
lcfc_jme Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 But the fight's on downstairs, too much activity for my liking. And i'm pure knackered. Just stay away from me in the toilets tomorrow ok?
lildave3 Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 Just stay away from me in the toilets tomorrow ok? I wouldn't go down to the concourse at all if I were you, stewards may pounce. Or Wils.
lcfc_jme Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 I wouldn't go down to the concourse at all if I were you, stewards may pounce.Or Wils. Wils pouncing is not a problem. I've not seen him for ages so I may enjoy it. And the stewards can fock off they've had me once for standing they won't do it again. I'm building up my aggression, see, just like will happen in this fight.
Leicfox Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 Mayweather wins on a split decision, probably the right decision. Two great fighters though, and both will now probably retire.
Micky Ruddle Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 Mayweather wins on a split decision, probably the right decision. Two great fighters though, and both will now probably retire. what a fight, by a split decision wonder who will win out of mayweather - hatton & de la hoya - hatton
C-man Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 I thought it was hilarious what Mayweather was wearing, proper took the piss Great fight, and the right decision in the end.
lcfc_jme Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 Hmm the fight had so much promise.. It lived up to it in parts but then at times it was a bit drab. Mayweather has sensational speed though he's lazy for the most part of a fight. I felt De La Hoya edged it if anything. A rematch is on the cards surely?
Spee-d Posted 6 May 2007 Author Posted 6 May 2007 That was a brillant fight, they gave their all. I thought it was the right decision in the end yeah. A shame De La Hoya lost though, he did well.
Sparky Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 wtf was fiddy cent doin alond side mayweather thought de la hoya was unlucky not to get the decision
Simi Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 wtf was fiddy cent doin alond side mayweather 50 Cent had a million dollars on Mayeweather to win apparently.
Geo V Posted 6 May 2007 Posted 6 May 2007 It was a good fight and I hope they have a rematch although its a shame that De La Hoya is over the hill and they didnt make the fight a couple of years ago. Boxing is so engrossed in this bloody PPV and promoter battles that we dont see the big fights that are out there and thats why I reckon within 5 years that most fighters will turn to the UFC and similar events like K1, Pride and Cage Rage. The UFC is already got huge coverage in the States and there best performers are monsters and you are guaranteed the best fighting the best, boxing is getting way too lame. Bring back the days of Duran.Sugar Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns having regular tare-ups!!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 7 May 2007 Posted 7 May 2007 Excellent fight. I'd have given it to De La Hoya. Can't be doing with all this "God on my side" stuff from Mayweather though. Rematch please.
