Scow Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 I've just called up the Ticket Office to purchase my Ipswich tickets, and I was on the phone for 45 minutes waiting to be answered. I'm not sure if this is to do with the Crewe game being a 'Fans fixture' but the service is pretty poor IMO. They should have the intelligence to staff up to how many calls their predicting. Or, I could be cynical and believe that it's a ploy to make even more money from us fans by keeping you on the phone longer...
Louise Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 The cynical answer works for me On the bright side though, over 25k fans this weekend Glory hunters http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsD...~621903,00.html

Anish Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 I never phone them cos I've had similar (although nowhere near as bad) experiences, plus you have to pay tje £1.50 or whatever booking fee. I'd rather wait until a home City game and go into the office personally to buy tickets, even if it means risking missing out on the away games.

Guest Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 The charge for using a card is a pain; I was going to put my season ticket on my credit card, and get the cashback, but they'll charge me loads for that I bet!

Shum Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 Do the charges apply to Debit cards as well as Credit Cards?

Phil Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 glad not only our club that have a joke of a ticket office! I have been sent wrong ammount of tickets twice and been sent someone elses tickets (kept them tho better tickets than ones I ordered) mate of mine got sent a ticket in the away end once for a home game aswell!
Guest Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 What's really annoyed me is both Carl and I have received application forms for the City credit card, which will apparently help the club. So to help the club earn an eensie-weensie bit more cash, I can also pay their card handling admin fees too! Whoopee! I wouldn't mind but MBNA are not even a decent lender. If you're thinking about taking out one of their cards, then they like to send out credit card cheques, even if you ask them to stop doing it.

As for the ticket office my experience is generally good when I've rung up reasonably early to get tickets. Only once when I rang up for Man City last season about 3 or 4 days before the match did I get a problem getting through...
Guest Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 Barclaycard do that all the time! 62772 I won't be having a Barclaycard then!

Scow Posted 4 February 2005 Author Posted 4 February 2005 All credit cards are evil - Hence why I don't have one.
Guest Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 All credit cards are evil - Hence why I don't have one. 62806 Useful for Interweb purchases, and I pay mine off each month so I don't get the interest charges.

Credit card companies can help you deal with the problem without automatically losing your money which would be the case if you used debit cards or cheques. Besides, the credit card companies don't make much money off my cos I pay the whole bill at the end of each month, thus avoiding any interest charges.
