He has to impress Sven like the way Defoe/Rooney did on their first few appearances or he could go down the same way that Ricketts, Beattie and Phillips went down.

Defoe on the other hand is younger and faster so i can see why sven would play him over AJ. But if the top 5 forwards were out i wouldnt have thought sven would have any problem in picking AJ
