One of the playing staff to stand up to him and be out the door the following week.

Well, I was close.

Except Allen was one of the playing staff and Mandy sent him packing.

Looks like you didn't get this one quite right!

What did he get? four and a half matches? Hardly sufficient to make a case one way or the other whatever he'd done.

OMG.... Keep digging....He bought a ton of shite and you know it....

I predict Holloways buys will nearly all come off and they will have the same impact as Martin O'neill's

(POSTED 30 DEC 2007)...PLEASE FEEL FREE TO RESURRECT IN 6 MONTHS :yesyes:

If you think he had anything to do with more than about 25% of our signings then you need to open your eyes. What he did wrong was to trust MM and DM when they handed him players and said they were the mutts nutts.

I thought he was the right man, I guess we'll never know for 100% certain how he'd have done, but looking at the awful signings he made, he wouldn't have done well. Ollie's army!

You know quite well that what I was saying about Allen was that four and a half games was not long enough to judge three particular predictions. Indeed I even mentioned a period of three months.

And on reflection I've no regrets about the departure of Worthington or Kelly for that matter. In fact Kelly told the whole story of his approach to management in that first game against Stoke.
