Thracian Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Confirms my faith in Grayson and why he ended up as my first choice for the City post. He forever achieves more than you expect. Well done fella.

Come off it. You've only heard of him the past month or so. Before that it was Paul Ince this, Paul Ince that. I bet if I was able to search on it, I'd struggle to find you mentioning Grayson before the last week or two of the season.

Brainy Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Besides, they'll go straight back down. I doubt it. There seems to be something special about Blackpool, same with Bristol Rovers.
Leicfox Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Besides, they'll go straight back down. Will they ? I can see plenty of money getting ploughed into Blackpool now from Belokon and Oyston, both are probably richer than MM.
Tubes Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Will they ? I can see plenty of money getting ploughed into Blackpool now from Belokon and Oyston, both are probably richer than MM. i agree with good work on the transfer market from grayson they can become a real force in the championship and the grayson will become a prem manager IMO
smokey Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Sea Sea Seasiders, Sea Sea Seasiders.Chuffed for the club and the fans of my now home town, it's about time they had some success. See you all in Pool next season. Remember this on that freezing cold night ??? The goal made it worth it though. Top away game at blackpool next season, police will make it a week night though just like they did with forest. Well done Simon Grayson, should of been our manager instead of the under achieving Allen!!
NFFC Chris Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Congratulations to Blackpool, really deserved it based on the last few months of the season.Commiserations to Yeovil fans, though I expect they won't be too down considering where they were about 10 years ago,it's absolutely amazing what has happend at that club and Russel Slade deserves credit for getting them that close this year. Will be looking forward to gaining revenge on them next season .As for Blackpool,Simon Grayson has done a magnificant job this season and I fully expect them to hold their own in the championship next season and will give everyone a good game next season including you guys.Enjoy your trip there Leicester City fans,I just hope you don't get them on a cold tuesday night in January!

sdb Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 i went to the game today as i live near yeovil. blackpool were the only team in the game, really dissapointing. grayson did have his team really well organised and up for the game. complete contrast to yeovil who either couldn't be assed or were over-awed by it all, and played with a formation so defensive craig levien would've been angry
fox123 Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Congratulations Simon Grayson.Does anyone know if he owns/runs a club in Churchgate? I think they sold it (forgot the name though)
The Reverend Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Congrats Simon Grayson. Done very very well this season considerin the start they had aswel. Fair play and they will be good in our league next season.

Do you remember your trip there this season ?? The Muckers had you right over.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Muckers lol lol
Thracian Posted 28 May 2007 Posted 28 May 2007 And you'd be right. Only heard of him - I watched him play often enough! It was abundantly clear that Paul Ince would be unacceptable to Leicester fans so why would I wish to pursue the idea? Mike Newell was another who seemed to have destroyed his own credibility. Billy Davies said he was staying with Derby. So it is inevitable you consider the options again - and Grayson, with his steady progress anyway, seemed worth looking into and that showed that he was an effective manager who got results with a decend brand of football. His winning in the play-offs was an additional bonus - and in keeping with the idea that he achieves more than you expect. So, the guy climbed by natural progression really to top choice and had he achieved his play-off win earlier, he'd have been top choice anyway given the Ince reaction.
