lookwhaticando Posted 31 May 2007 Posted 31 May 2007 Men held over Derby County probe Two men have been arrested over financial irregularities in a takeover of Derby County Football Club. The club, which has just been promoted to the Premiership, was bought for £3 by a consortium in October 2003. Following the takeover by the current board just over a year ago, police began investigating the original deal. Now BBC Radio Derby has learned that two men, aged 54 and 46, have been questioned in connection with suspected financial irregularities. They have been released on police bail while further inquiries are made. The police investigation is continuing. ------------------------ Crooks from the previous regime?
Father Ted Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Send the scum to jail. No place for people who save Derby in this world
Daggers Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Dock em points i say. Backdated to the start of this season
Simi Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Dock em points i say. I would love that. Either to keep them down here. Or make next season even more pointless.
lookwhaticando Posted 1 June 2007 Author Posted 1 June 2007 The financial irregularities stemmed from the previous management regime... lashings of jail terms and fines may be handed out - but to the previous regime. As much as we'd like them docked points for next season (to make it literally pointless) the chances are nil.
