JoeyB Posted 6 June 2007 Posted 6 June 2007 Fenerbahce have announced the capture of Roberto Carlos from Real Madrid. The Brazilian full-back confirmed earlier this year that he would not be staying at El Santiago Bernabeu and now Fenerbahce have agreed a deal with the 34-year-old. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...eal+Carlos+deal Personally i think its a good deal for Fenerbache, even tho he is getting on i think he could be like Maldini and last another 6/7 years
Sods Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi2zjG_d6oQ amazing strike of the ball
NFFC Chris Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Good signing, quite a coup for them,a bit similar to when Rivaldo moved to Olympiakos
Father Ted Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Jammy g*t just scored one lucky goal against France 9 years ago and that will be all he will be remembered for
Sly Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Jammy g*t just scored one lucky goal against France 9 years ago and that will be all he will be remembered for Your right. The goal in La Touroir was a moment to remember. Roberto Carlos does score some fantastic goals though. For everyone he scores he misses about 50 more though. I actually think the one he scored from the byline for Real Madrid was better.
Tevez Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Would of loved to see Roberto Carlos play in the premiership.
Sly Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 I don't think the pace would suit him now. He hasn't got the legs he had 2-3 years ago. I remember having the debate on who's the worlds best left back, Carlos, Maldini or Lizarzu.
Jay Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Talking of Lizarzu, where has he gone? well at a guess as he's nearly 40 he's probably retired!!
Sly Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 well at a guess as he's nearly 40 he's probably retired!! Yes, he's retired. If you look at his honours: Link It's not bad really.
