Ultra Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 It has to be Walsh. Anyone who was there at Wembley on 30 May 1994 will know why. Generations of City fans thought we were fated NEVER to win beneath the twin towers, yet thanks to Walsh the curse was lifted. He also risked his career to do this. I could think of one or two others on the list who would not have put so much on the line for us. In addition, Walsh stayed loyal to us, again unlike others I could mention, during the 1987-94 wilderness years, when he could easily have moved to a top-flight club and enhanced his status and bank balance. Others may have played more games for the club, or scored more goals, but none have influenced our history as much as Walshy has done!
