Lord Nibblington Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Breaking your ankle means not having to go to work for months but still getting full pay (Provided your employer pays CSP) So... would you advise it as a career move?
Guest Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Breaking your ankle means not having to go to work for months but still getting full pay (Provided your employer pays CSP) So... would you advise it as a career move? I wouldn't. Not unless you want a career that ends with you resigning.
Lord Nibblington Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I wouldn't. Not unless you want a career that ends with you resigning. As It happens. I have already resigned. Hurrah!
Guest Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 As It happens. I have already resigned.Hurrah! How long have you got left? I finish on Friday.
Lord Nibblington Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 How long have you got left?I finish on Friday. I finish the Friday of next week. Then I do nothing until I start my course in September. And my current employers will pay me to August. yay!
Guest Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I finish the Friday of next week. Then I do nothing until I start my course in September. And my current employers will pay me to August. yay! That's a good deal you have there.
Lord Nibblington Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 That's a good deal you have there. To be fair, it's because everyone here finishs next Friday. What with it being the summer holidays and all. However, the whole getting paid through August is a big bonus. Otherwise we wouldn't have any money coming in. Which could be a bad thing.

It would indeed. I didn't think that one through, silly me. Does anyone have a spare job going?
Kent Fox Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Does anyone have a spare job going? I need one of those as well.
Guest Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I need one of those as well. If you find one, I saw it first. Unless it involves actual graft, in which case, you can have it.
Daggers Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I ought to get one but I'm finding procrastinating is working well for me. It helps the diet too.
Kent Fox Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 If you find one, I saw it first. Unless it involves actual graft, in which case, you can have it. Graft? ooohhh *shiver*. I don't do graft - unless I have to. I prefer to delegate.
Guest Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I prefer to delegate. Ooh, delegation. I'll have some of that. Will it involve whip-cracking?
MPH Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Ooh, delegation. I'll have some of that. Will it involve whip-cracking? no, thats called bondage, dear...
Guest Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 no, thats called bondage, dear... So where does the Phil Gee-string come into it?
MPH Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Breaking your ankle means not having to go to work for months but still getting full pay (Provided your employer pays CSP) a few years ago now i finished college and a date was agreed for me to go in and sign the contract ready to start working a few weeks later- i had my interveiw and had been offered the job. 1 week before i was due to go in and sign the contract i broke my wrist.. it was a bad break too and i was in plaster for 12 weeks in total. then needed 2 weeks physio. a long time with no money... i definately did things the wrong way round!
