Jay Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 well I think the time as come I have plucked up the courage to head off into town and see if I can pick up a Wii it's been a long and winding road but I think the time has now come to make the purchase that some might say was inevitable. I will however note that if I am not impressed then I will be placing all blame clearly at the feet of the Phubester. so if anyone would care to recommend me as game to purchase it would be appreciated.
Bojimha Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 buy a xbox 360 instead mate. I have a wii and it is fun to play with a group of mates but if you'll mainly be playing it on you're own you'll get bored pretty quick. Wii Play and Wii Sports (the latter you get with it) are the 2 best games.

Good on ya... you won't be disappointed (and you don't know where I live if you are!! ) Only get Wii play if you want an extra controller. Best games at the mo' are Zelda: Twilight Princess, Mario Strikers, Eledees, Wario Ware, Monkey Ball. But you MUST get... even if you've played it before, Resident Evil 4: Wii edition - according to most 'best version, of the best gamer ever made'!! Ignore this fool Wii Play and Wii Sports (the latter you get with it) are the 2 best games. You really have no idea!!!

Like Alex said you definately should look at getting the extra controllers (you get one with wii play) as the multiplayers aspect of the wii is the best thing going on it. Zelda is a game my girlfriend likes but it's a bit too dated graphics wise for me and i don't really like RPG's but it seems to be popular with a lot od people.

Anyway, for those two days Wii Sports rocks to late now!! the deed has been done!! although I have an annoying bit on The Darkness to finish first and then of wii go!! **** EDIT **** I couldn't resist just had a good hour and a bits tickle and I am suffering from Wii Arms!!!! who needs expensive Gym Memberships!! 30mins a day on Wii boxing is guaranteed to keep you fit!!!! impressed so far I must say seems you are safe from my wrath Mr Phube

Microsoft facing $1bn bill Thats a fairly hefty chunk if it don't cost them that much.

What games did you go for in the end? * Delete as appropriate. only got Wii sports at the minute need to nip to Aldi to get a 2gb memory card and mario strikers is on the way from play.com!! loved Super Monkey ball one on the Cube so may well get that as well
