Hack Posted 8 July 2007 Author Posted 8 July 2007 I somehow doubt Kisnorbo was the only one to blame for Australia failing to beat a team without a player in their squad who is established outside the middle east. You are right. The whole team basically had a bad night. The defence (Emerton, Kis, Neill, Wilkshire) were awful. Arnold (coach) said he has a lot of work to do with the team before the next game especially the defence.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 To be fair Kissa played the ball well when he got a hold of it, but he wasn't on the ball all that often. As for the Singapore game, the whole team was equally as bad. The real surprise shocker last night was Kewell, his touches were dreadful. It was hard for us to score last night because while we were keeping the ball on the ground, they were playing hoof ball from their defence. Since we didn't have anyone who could do the wonder run it was bloody hard going, especially since they were quite strong in the midfield. And Kissa was one of the few who cottoned onto this and in return started belting the ball away from their goal and hoping someone would connect up front. The first half was painful to watch sometimes, in dealing with all this it was keeping's off by Australia.
davieG Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 Kis played in Central defence. What I would assume the position he plays for City! Err I was referring to whether he had an ok game or a shocker not which position he played in.
OzFox Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 yeah...both Emerton and Neill weren't in any hurry to get back were they? The players apparently "overtrained" and couldn't cope with the humidity (quite funny hearing that from Australians)
Master Fox Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 The defending for Omans goal is criminal. Is that Kisnorbo who makes the pathetic diving interception at the near post?
