Kisnorbo has shocker for Australia

Australia vs Oman just finished 1-1. Australia scoring in the second last minute of added time by Tim Cahill. Kisnorbo, was pretty horrible in the centre of defence. Oman had way to many open shots saved well by Mark Schwartzer.

Oman attacked most often on the right side where Kis was palying and he marked air most times. He really needs to get his act together for both Oz and Leicester pretty quick or maybe he might be worth taking an offer for from a premier league club, if one is to come.

Solid display from Kisnorbo tonight against that powerhouse of world football, Oman. The same couldn't be said for so called "stars" Lucas Neill and Emerton, who looked like they were out for a sunday stroll.

The Aussies were dead lucky..could have been four nil down by the time Cahill equalised late on

Second game in a row he's had a shocker then for Australia :dunno:

Yes. He had poor game against Singapore last week (warm up game for the Asian cup). I know it is extremely hot over there, but he just looked lost. Had nothing to do with the heat. Maybe since Australia don't have Guus Hindink as coach anymore the players are playing less confident, but Kis was level below the others. I really would love to give him a rap, but I have doubts after tha perfromance whether he will be in the starting lineup for Fridays match against Iraq.

Well if he's not playing in position... :dunno:

Exactly, to be honest i would rather him not play for Oz if they just play him out of position. Then they moan when he has a mare and knock his confidence.

A bit of a difference of opinion in here - Oh well that's football I guess.

The same thing happened when Levien played him out of position

From my own point of view its more to do with a poor manager who is playing square pegs in round holes

L.B. is a right sided mid

R.B. is a right mid

C.B. is a right back

L.M. is only just getting back into the game after 18 months of injury after injury

Our movment was sluggish right from the start at times the ball was walked out of defence then lobbed straight up the guts

I cannot think of any real decent crosses for the whole of the game

we seemed to have no idea how to break open the oman defence

Yes the heat is a factor but poor planning has also got a part to play we only had 1 real hit out before the game where all the other teams played a few games

oh and JFK's sniper must have come out of retirement with so many players go down as if they were shot

He played at centre half. Not only that, he was on the right hand side with Lucas Neill on the left

I thought he did alright tonight, a view shared by most of the commentary team at FOX Sports where I'm working. he wasn't at fault for the goal (unlike Emerton) and saved a certain goal at one point with a late tackle. The reason Oman had so many chances is that over-ran Australia's awful midfield, and Luke Wilkshire looked out of his depth at left back

I dont know whether these long seasons semm to be making good defenders appear slack but thats seems to be the case in Copa America where the defenders are all over the shop and the midfielders and strikers are looking the part with teams scoring for fun. Im not trying to make excuses for Kisnorbo but these guys have had long seasons and need a break and I cnt help but think that these extra comps going well into July cant be helping some players.

Lets hope Kissa, Hume and Kaebi all come through unscathed.

I didn't watch the game, but do you think the critisism is aimed at Kisnorbo because hes still playing for his place in the team so they are using him as a scapegoat? Where as Neill & Emerton are established players.

How are his chances looking for the next game? He was subbed wasn't he, which for defenders unless injured isn't much of vote of confidence?

I saw this game oman was owning them the whole first half. australian goalkeeper got 5 amazing saves other wise the game would have ende 5-1 :P. Australia with a lucky last minut goal tho.

I somehow doubt Kisnorbo was the only one to blame for Australia failing to beat a team without a player in their squad who is established outside the middle east.

What does it matter how he plays on the other side of the world,in a match that means naff all against third rate opposition and out of position? :dunno:

Couldn't care less...he wasn't wearing a blue shirt with Topps Tiles on it was he?

as long as he plays well for us then i don't care how well he plays for australia. although it is nice to see him doing well at international level

Obviously it matters. If he's not playing well for them then theres a pretty good chance that is related to something that may mean he wont play well for us. I'd pretty worried normally if he was playing below par for his national team.

But seeing as I'm pretty sure his bad form, as well as the Australian national teams form in general, is down Graham Arnold I'm not to fussed.

Kis played in Central defence. What I would assume the position he plays for City!
