josedob Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 That is a good point. Maybe he needs a new look for next season - grow out his hair. Best line in an email I received yesterday: "Thomas looks great in his LCFC shirt - like a slightly taller Iain Hume" Thomas is my 22 mo. old son. ha! (well...i had a good laugh at least.)
Ultra Posted 17 May 2008 Posted 17 May 2008 Hume could get into a squad but not a team in the Premiership. You need a bit more than workrate at the top level. He showed glimpses of quality last season (eg the 70-yard ball to Howard v. Norwich, the goals at Wolves & QPR). It's hard to tell how he would do in a decent side because we haven't had one in the time he's been here. He's precisely the type of player that MON used to take chances on and turn into competitive top-flight performers (Elliott, Guppy, Lennon-type players). Sadly for him, MON has moved on from then. But it may be interesting to see how he would fare at a club like Stoke or Hull.
Koke Posted 17 May 2008 Posted 17 May 2008 At best, he would be no more than a squad player at a club like Boro or Sunderland. At worst, he could disappear into thin air like Lee Cook.
Uncle Monty Posted 18 May 2008 Posted 18 May 2008 i reckon if we cN KEEP him we shud shape the team around him
