Allen on the brink at Leicester

Daily Mirror reports today that Milan Mandaric could be ready to sack newly appointed manager Martin Allen.

With a terrible home defeat to Blackpool in the season opener and a 1-0 robbery away to League 2 side Accrington Stanley, things are not as expected at the club.

The saga around a possible signing of former Chelsea forward Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, was a big disapointment for chairman Milan Mandaric.

Mandaric wanted to sign Hasselbaink and had agreed terms, Allen wanted a trial. If you think you can take Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink on trial, you might have to think twice.

The player is at the moment a free agent and has time to wait on the right offer. He felt Leicester City was the right choice, but no the Dutch forward will look for other options.....

I love that word "could".

Stockbrokers use it all the time...."buy so-and-so we've got a good offer available on these - they could hit the stratosphere.

Or from the tipsters: Dobbin could be an each way bet to win the Derby......

We`ll be the last to know if there are troubles behind the scenes but whilst MM is an impatient man and has been known to sack managers, he`d be a nutter to do it so soon in MA`s career. As fans we must be ready for some crazy stuff from Milan as he has been known but equally we must also expect the crazy rumours that come with someone likes of the so called Mad Dog and crazy Milan! The papers have a great combination to pick on as column fillers when there isn't that much news out there and they`ll fill them will silly stories of MA`s antics, Mad Milan or us being linked to players, either from Portsmouth or Serbia.
