TrickyTrev Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 You'll never sustain any sucess as you don't have the fanbase, we are happy that we will always spend a good amount of time in the nations top division where as you will probably end up rotting away with a huge stadium as burden in league 1, where you belong.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 jealousy is a terrible, terrible thing

(you will lose to blackburn) 69524 Who are you playing in the QUARTER FINALS of the FA cup? Who did you play in the fifth round of the FA cup? Who did you play in the fourth round of the FA cup? oh sorry forgot that you got knocked out in the THIRD round. sorry about that.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 we'd rather concentrate on the league teams like you hope for a little fa cup run we have much bigger fish to fry thank you very much
Craig Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 Who knows... we could be playing european football...
Wilson Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 we'd rather concentrate on the leagueteams like you hope for a little fa cup run we have much bigger fish to fry thank you very much 69532
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 nothing to say wilson? its because its true, isnt it?
Guest Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 jealousy is a terrible, terrible thing 69528 Who's jealous? You have a very overinflated opininion of both yourself and your football team. We're quite used to yo-yoing between the top two divisions. You make sure you enjoy your season in the Premiership, it'll be something to tell the grandkids about.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 i'll make sure to enjoy our time in the premiership thanks alot
Bert Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 If you do go up and stay up then good luck to ya but somehow i don't think you'll stay up even though u got a lot of spending power, you'll be back down in the fizzy and we'll pass you on the way up!!
Chandler Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 Good luck to Wigan I say; put us lot to shame. As for the title of this thread - the worst case of kettles and pots I've ever come across.
Guest Daniel Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 Good luck to Wigan I say; put us lot to shame. As for the title of this thread - the worst case of kettles and pots I've ever come across. 69688 0-0 at the JJB. What a great shame... If it wern't for Micky Mouse we could be up there with Wigan now.
Chandler Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 Daniel, your post (as usual) does not make any sense. If, as you put it, Mickey Mouse 'had done his job' he wouldn't have got it in the neck from boneheads like you and probably would not have resigned. Therefore he would probably be in charge now and the team would also probably be in a much better position then it currently is. Levein has failed to improve upon Micky's performance. This is not a matter of opinion. It is a matter of statistical fact. He's also had more games in charge. The boneheads now have a get out of jail card (as has Levein) with our cup performance. But you just have to look around at the number of teams still in the competition who are in the nether regions of their leagues to see how much a diversion from the daily grind the FA Cup really is. Everyone, it seems, is prepared to write this season off for a quarter final place. But this won't even be a distant memory come next August. Then the knives will be out for Levein. And you'll be among the first to stick yours in.

Maybury is better than any of the right backs Micky Mouse brought to this club. Stevemn Hughes is by far better than any of the players Micky bought as well. Open your eyes!! Adams is that good he has gone to Cov, not a premiership. Quality!!!

He's stopped us conceding late goals, we are now scoring late goals. He's made us dangerous at set-pieces again. The team is now youthful again. Average ae against Charlton= 27. Compared to 33 against QPR in the 3-2 game. He has made some decent signings, and got rid of a lot of useless players. What does he have to do to please you? Your the fickle bonehead around here.

You've had it in for him ever since he first arrived, that is what doesn't make sense, how you can make your mind up on someone who has been VERY successful up at Hearts, making them the best team in Scotland outside Glasgow, getting into Europe each year, it's not easy even up in that league. No, the results didn't happen at first, the squad has to adjust, get out of all the Micky ways they were used to. Gone are the players that held no future at the club, in come players with a future, with enthusism, passion and determaination to get this team promoted. IT WONT HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY YOU IMPATIENT GIT. T The PERFORMANCES have improved, it's a start you know. We're actually being entertained at games AND getting some results, Craig Levein will build on this in the following year, the difference between the performances at the beginning of the season where we showed no passion, effort, nothing, has been massive. Ok, we grinded out a few results under Adams, but it was depressing to watch, losing countless leads. It's not happened under Levein, but i suppose he's had nothing to do with that, it's just been luck has it?

Eventhough I don't agree with Chandler.
TrickyTrev Posted 21 February 2005 Posted 21 February 2005 Lads, he is just trying to be contriversial and play devils advocate. He must know in his heart that as well as Adams started and served our club his signings had become unacceptable as had the performances. We all needed a break away from the Adams/Basset regeime. Levein is as of yet unproven, I think the signs are promising but I will reserve judgement untila later date. He has yet to put as run of results together yet!
