Lillehamring Posted 26 August 2007 Posted 26 August 2007 couldn't find a thread to put this in, bit of a surprise... anyway, looks like another season of lower league football beckons for forest, early days but forest haven't won in three and have scored just once. considering they pushed for an automatic place last year, and were a playoff team, looks like things are getting worse for the reds... any explanations, or is it just too funny to even care why?

I dont know enough about their side to be honest apart from mainly Tyson who I think is still injured and Commons who looks like a far player. I thought they would be up there this season though after adding Lennon and those two Yeovil lads but obviously and thankfully I was wrong Maybe Lennon is making them play shite on purpose?
Ultra Posted 26 August 2007 Posted 26 August 2007 They've had a few injuries (including to their two signings from Yeovil) and should really be judged when they have a fully fit squad to choose from. There's still plenty of time for them to turn things around. Blackpool started very slowly in that league last season and look where they are now!

Ultra Posted 26 August 2007 Posted 26 August 2007 Hopefully after Tuesday the pressure on Colin Calderwood will become intolerable and he will be forced out. As there's no consensus among the dwindling band of trees "faithful" on who should replace him they could descend into further chaos. Especially if, as is rumoured, N**l W*****k is lined up to replace him...
lildave3 Posted 26 August 2007 Posted 26 August 2007 How come I can vote for every box? I was wondering the same thing tbh

I'm rather hoping he stays in the job for a long time. He's doing such a grand job of cocking it up.
Lillehamring Posted 26 August 2007 Author Posted 26 August 2007 How come I can vote for every box? look, i accidently discovered you can make a poll, i'm not bloody gallup - i don't remember being given the option, so that's why... it's flawed, but a little self-discipline and... They're all possible, so I clicked them all. well, how is that going to help - christ, i develop a highly sophisticated poll, to reliably establish how crap forest are and, well... people just abuse the system... you can fu(k off - the lot of yer...
Lillehamring Posted 26 August 2007 Author Posted 26 August 2007 i can't change the poll selection, where's me old man?

Leonisco Posted 27 August 2007 Posted 27 August 2007 If they sack Calderwood before Christmas then play-off winners. If not, med-table mediocrity.
lee7 Posted 27 August 2007 Posted 27 August 2007 i think they will turn it around and go up automatic.

That would be the worst case scenario. Warnock would definitely get that squad up. The longer Calderwood is there the better. I'm amazed they didn't get rid in the summer. As you say they can't be judged properly til they get their best players fit but they should still be cruising that division even with a few injuries. Their first XI would finish mid-table in our division with the right manager in my opinion and they have strength in depth for a League One team.

Nathan Tyson and Junior Agogo (I think?) are still both injured and they'll score hatfuls at this level; however, I think mid-table obscurity !!
Thracian Posted 27 August 2007 Posted 27 August 2007 Spoke to an ardent Forest fan today and he said they played really well second hal against Leeds. So I don't think the mocking's relevant. In fact I'd never mock anyone before a game. It has a habit of backfiring. I don't actually care where they finish in the League. But Calderwood will if it's outside the top six and he fails to get promoted.

I thought the headline sounded mocking... Anyway, it's gonna be finely balanced - City unbeaten in three and MA supposedly fighting for his job against Forest at home trying to show their fans that they really ought to be in the Championship. Intriguing.
