Geo V Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 We have a few players who must be attracting the attentions of some of the premiership and I fear that with some of the managers making panic buys (Keano at Sunderland spending almost £10m on Higginbottom and Jones yesterday as an example), before the transfer window closes, does anyone think that any of the first time squad that aren't transfer listed already will be punted out? My main concern is Kisnorbo. He was quoted in the summer to saying he wanted Premiership football and now we are managerless we may end up accepted a silly bid of about £3/4m for his services. Hume may also have his suitors and Weso may have impressed enough managers with his form to warrant a bid. I must admit I am more considered that we dont lose any of these players before the window closes than I am on hurrying up for a new manager or even us adding numbers to the squad. Hopefully being managerless wont hinder the sales of the transfer listed players either.
Ric Flair Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 I'd hazard a guess that most of the players will be relieved Allen has gone, they can take it easy for a few weeks.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 DJ probably wants to jump ship MA was one of the main reasons he came here
jaffa1970 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Socceroo...save those dollars mate..cos if we even look like getting in the playoffs I am flying over..don't care if I have to stand outside of Wembley and just listen to the crowd..I will be there Maybe Birmingham will come back for Kissa now?
sdb Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 i've just thought, are hammond, kenton, hughes et al all off the transfer list now? that's horrific if so

Guest seanfox778 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 I hope not i just ordered the new shirt with Kisnorbo on the back (after the Connolly incident i should know by now to wait till the transfer window closes)
Jon25747 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Im not sure about jumping ship but i think the biggest loser in this whole situation will be MDV. i cant see any other manager giving chances and second chances.

Well you can look at it that everyone from MDV to Kisnorbo will have to earn there position in a new team when a new manager comes in. Im hopeful that we will continue to shift the dead wood though as we did just that when managerless in the summer.
The Reverend Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 In answer to the thread title, no. They are on contracts, Allens gone but they're not bothered - only about their pay slips. And from what some have said he wasnt the most liked gaffer anyway.
MPH Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 wonder if anyone bought a city shirt and had ' Allen' or ' Mad Dog' put on the back....

Geo V Posted 30 August 2007 Author Posted 30 August 2007 Lets hope WBA don't come in with a late Kisnorbo bid once Curtis Davies leaves for Villa. No link, just putting 2 and 2 together and getting 75.

No link, just putting 2 and 2 together and getting 75. that might not be 75, it might well be 4 what it might also be unless the brom get a good replacement is their season going down the pan..
Geo V Posted 4 September 2007 Author Posted 4 September 2007 that might not be 75, it might well be 4 what it might also be unless the brom get a good replacement is their season going down the pan.. Thank god no-one of note actually left the club but that Davies on an initial loan is a MON master-stroke the git. If he doesnt cut the mustard MON will say no but meanwhile, WBA have a player worth an alleged £10m out on loan!
lookwhaticando Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 That's a no then. And we didn't even manage to shift any of the shittier players, either - Stephen Hughes aside. Discussion ended.
