Exactly why I don't use Ebay, I know half the time it is pretty safe but you hear of so many scams on Ebay and knowing my luck if I joined Ebay and tryed to buy something i'd be buying off one of the people doing one of the scam, and i'd end up losing all my money in my bank account :unsure:

I would always buy a item at a small cost anyway, wouldn't pay anything more then £30-40

I wouldn't send a cheque for an eBay item - full stop.  Ebay gets more s*** by the week.

If you accept payment by cheques you should wait until the cheque has cleared - 4/5 days after depositing it into your account - before you send the item. That is the safest way.

That was my first thought, but if you look all the negative feedbacks are within the space of 3 days, which suggests that all those people bought their items before the negative feedback was left.
