shilton_er Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 That will be a bargain.I know a Sunderland fan very well and he said, he'll be surprised if Sunderland let him go because after Gordon he's their best keeper. I think he's better than Gordon Having been brought up with the likes of Shilton,Wallington etc Fullop is THE BEST that we can possibly have, Build a team from the back like Clough/Shankley. a famous saying from the past was DONT CONCEED AND YOU CAN'T LOSE.
Brainy Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 "And it's Marton Fulop, Marton Fulop FC, they're by far the greatest team The world has ever seen."Leicester fans' chant to their Hungarian goalkeeper, Marton Fulop. (Sam, UK). BBC QOTW
Mark Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Another clean sheet tonight as Hungary win 1-0 in Poland.

Mr Happy Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 With the way Marton's performing for city and then in his international matches I'm beginning to get scared for next season now Promotion this season, whilst not entirely ruled out, doesn't look eminent so that would mean that it'd have to be next season and without Fulop in goal, who is the next best keeper we have? Henderson? Logan? (Still one for the future though ) Casino Jimmy? Scary prospect isn't it, especially when compared with Fulop. Now I know we shouldn't worry about our keeper problems until next season, but what if a premiership team comes in during the Jan transfer window and wants to take Fulop from Sunderland being as we don't have a loan deal with a view to a permanant move so it could be possible for us to lose out on the best thing since sliced bread!! I'd be worried if we didn't try and wrap up a permanant deal for Fulop ASAP P.S. Nice result for Marton tonight
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Awesome save above i think its not looking good for us purchasing him as now its $$$$$$$$$$$ and asking price is getting higher maybe while we are negiotiating with sunderland he can make a couple of howlers to lower the price
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Another clean sheet tonight as Hungary win 1-0 in Poland. That is a belting result. I'm going to enjoy watching Fulop while I can. How he is not a regular Premiership goalkeeper, while the likes of Stephen Byfield are, is beyond me.

How he is not a regular Premiership goalkeeper, while the likes of Stephen Byfield are, is beyond me. Same here. I said this to a few of my mates the other day, bar Petr Cech, I haven't seen a better goalie than Marton Fulop in this country this season. Might be an outlandish thing to say, but i'm yet to see anything that would cast that in to doubt. He's fookin monumental. Craig Gordon impressed me for Scotland and Hearts, but since he's come to Sunderland, from what i've seen of him, he's been fairly mediocre. Fulop on the other hand has been exceptional for 99% of his time here and I think we'd be bottom of the league without him.
