No. Winning the tournament would be a greater achievement than 2003 but just reaching the final wouldn't be IMO. I'm not undermining the achievement this year but winning is the ultimate.

But this side is weaker in many areas (no Johnno, Greenwood, Back or Dawson) than the England team of 2003.

That team went into the World Cup as favourites and eventually, after some scares, justified that tag.

The current side looked at one stage (after the 36-0) as if it would go out at the group stage.

To recover from such a dire predicament and make the final is an incredible achievement.

Its a great achievement as we were in the shite leading up to this event but winning the trophy is what its all about as no one really remembers the runners-up.
