davieG Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Good game tight until the last 20 when Sappleton came on and caused havoc in their defence not so much with his skills but his physical presence. Chambers had another good game looking very lively score a cracking free kick goal and involved in the Sappleton goal. Kee went off after attempting a diving head and looked like he collided with the goal post. So good performances through out the team unfortunately I don't know who they all are. From OSAcademy See Off Watford Posted on: Sat 27 Oct 2007 Two late strikes were enough for Leicester City's under-18 side to see off Watford as they ran out 3-1 winners at the Belvoir Drive training ground on Saturday. Billy Kee thought he had opened the scoring on 8 minutes when his over-head kick found the top corner of the net, but the referee ruled out the goal after spotting an infringement. Robbie Burns broke the deadlock on 32 minutes when his left foot strike nestled underneath the Watford goalkeeper to make it 1-0 to the Foxes. Watford responded early in the second half when a high ball into the box was misjudged by City goalkeeper Alex Cisak, gifting the visitors with an equaliser. City began to push forward in the later stages and they got their reward when direct free kick from Ashley Chambers on 84 minutes put the Foxes back in front. Ricky Sappleton forced his way through the Hornets defence two minutes later and slotted the ball home to put the game beyond doubt. City: Cisak, Cox, Rowe-Turner, Garner, Cob, Burns, Howard (John-Joe), C King (Sappleton), McKay, Chambers, Kee (Tuttle)

It is amusing how someone who is making an impression scoring/making goals in the Academy and Reserves gets a barely noticable push for a first team place while someone like Kaebi, who has had so little impact at the same sort of level, gets threads galore pushing him for a senior start.
