gasman68 Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 Why not get in quick for Dowie now after tonights showing,he's just what we're used too. Probably get compo off Coventry for taking him off their hands!
crisp monster Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 Can I just say that Tony Pulis is a grade A f***** tosser. Long ball merchant with the tactical acumen of a snail. And that's being cruel to snails. Why on earth do you want him? we need to walk before we can run mate. this team has been at bottom half of this shit league for four years now and if MM wants an experienced man then the likes of Grayson and Atkins have yet to prove themselves. i've put it before but, Pullis has made a strong side at Stoke and has been at least at the right end of the table he's used the loan market well and hasn't had anywhere near the budget City have got. i wouldn't say no to Dowie and i think that Holloway would get the place buzzing a bit more like Allen but Pullis knows this league very well now and i think we would see someone with experience who wouldn't take shit from players with large egos and how do you know he would play long ball when he hasn't been able to work with more quality players? a physio from S****horpe thats played 15 games is hardly the qualification to take on a club of our size
Ultra Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Pulis worked with Mandaric at Portsmouth and didn't last too long. I doubt whether either would be too keen to renew acquaintance.
Ultra Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Could Mandaric be stupid enough to go for N**l W*****k? He's not doing too well at Palace and their chairman may be happy to get rid...
irememberwellerstights Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Chris Coleman's future as Real Sociedad boss is in doubt after he arrived late for a media conference amid reports he was out clubbing until 5am. (various) Former Wigan boss Paul Jewell has decided not to return as manager. The club may now turn to Joe Royle or Gary McAllister. (Daily Mirror) Todays Gossip on BBCi
Mack Posted 13 November 2007 Author Posted 13 November 2007 From the bits I read over the weekend Mandaric is in the States thinking about what to do next (and probably why he ever got himself involved!). With the International break on it's the perfect time to get someone in and give them a good few days worth of training before they take charge in the dug out. If I was to make a list of realistic targets already in a job then..... Burley? Ince? Dowie? Johnson? When you start to look at what is about you begin to realise Milan's dilemma.
davieG Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 I get the feeling he's got no one in mind now, he's been turned down by all those out of a job and probably by the clubs of managers in jobs. He's gone to either drown his sorrows or himself as he's more than likely feeling sorry for himself. I just hope he realises what a total mess up he's made of us, managerial wise were pariahs, the untouchables his prides taken a bashing and he's licking his wounds. Let's hope he comes back fit and fighting and can pull a rabbit out of the hat, he may need to swallow some of that pride and go cap in had plus a big wad of cash in order to get the likes of Jewell or Tigana otherwise I can see nothing but further short term managers and further turmoil. We really are a club in crisis and at a critical cross-roads.
davieG Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Great post, totally agree. Thanks, on reflection I think I over did the clichés
lookwhaticando Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Let's hope he comes back fit and fighting and can pull a rabbit out of the hat Just so long as it's not a monkey, I don't really care what he pulls out of the hat.

Raj Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Just so long as it's not a monkey, I don't really care what he pulls out of the hat. Peter Reids got a fcuking monkeys head! That is FACT. And a freind of a friend saw him at the Megastore today. That too is a FACT!
skegness fox Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 George Burley could surely be tempted away from Southampton with the position they are in. If offered the right money they can't afford to turn it down.
act smiley Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 From the bits I read over the weekend Mandaric is in the States thinking about what to do next Milan is in the States you say? Lets add two and two and get eighty three then: Predrag "Preki" Radosavljevic - Serbian-American former Portsmouth player, who convinced him to buy Portsmouth and currently manages MLS side Chivas USA, who rather conviniently, have just finished their season. Although being more realistic, Dave Jones or George Burley would be very nice.
