James. Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 If you were there you'd know what i'm talking about. I don't accuse people of such things lightly. They gave my brother very out and crappy food you wouldn't feed to your dog. I could give you all the facts, but you've clearly made your mind up already so there's no point. All i can say is my accusations are based on substantial evidence. They're lucky we didn't take legal action. But you've expanded your unfortunate event from an unpleasant experience at the hands of a couple of bitter chefs and used it as a general slight at a whole nation. A touch over the top.
Finnegan Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 ok, ok, i WILL be serious for a moment.....I actually really like Wales. I like some of the welsh people, just as i like some of the english people.. I love the fact the welsh have their own language and i heartily support the teaching of welsh in welsh schools because there is nothing wrong with keeping Wales 'welsh' Just like i like the idea of keeping england english. Lets face it, part of why people like Wales is because its a different country. Sure, it has nice scenery and beaches too.. Both my uncles are fluent welsh speakers ( i only know a few words here and there ). And before anyone comments.. nothing wrong with them speaking english either... I think its great fun to poke fun at welsh rugby and to stuff them at Rugby is great fun., as it is scottish and irish rugby from a playful banter point of view. You just need to learn when and who too have a laugh with about it as some people are very patriotic and will take it offensively.. Wether they should or not isnt the issue.. I just dont like offending people if i can help it ( very English of me!) ok finners here me out on this one before you issue a addoed ddilysa against me... The welsh are very much like the english are.... Proud of their country, proud of their heritage and treat some people with disdain for mocking who they are.... I am pretty sure some welsh people can be rude to english folk when they go over to Wales even 'racist' ... poisoning you? i'd hate to think someone goes that far.... But next time you feel you are treated badly over in Wales, spare a thought for those who are treated the same over here in england... you'll know what it feels like then. Does it make it right it happens? Is it your fault? of course not... i dont ever condone anything like that.. There you go.. old man rant over. That's one hell of a generalisation. The only time I've been sick in Wales has been when the inconsiderate bastards wouldn't shut the pub until 3AM. Proper hospitality I tell thee. But you've expanded your unfortunate event from an unpleasant experience at the hands of a couple of bitter chefs and used it as a general slight at a whole nation.A touch over the top. :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:
