lookwhaticando Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 ... what a diver. Launches the ball over the keeper (he was offside anyway) and then dives when he gets level with Green. There's no way there was enough contact to haul him down in such fashion. Any contact there was grossly exaggerated by the twat Keane. Disgraceful. Should have been booked... after all, Riley saw the incident and didn't give the free-kick... considering the ball was miles away, the only conclusion to draw - if you don't award a foul - is that Keane dived.

I think there was enough contact to be honest, but as you say, if it's not a penalty he should categorically be booked for diving.
Brainy Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Don't you get booked for using abusive language towards the ref? Abusive languange + Dive = 2 YC's = R. What a twat.

He's quite clearly told the ref to **** off a number of times already. Perhaps Mr Riley feels a little guilty about the situation!
Leicester Lass Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Spurs penalty last minute. Saved by Green!
Nath Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 GREEEEEEEEEN FOR ENGLAND. Doesn't even get look in these day's. Saved one last game aswell if i remember rightly?
lookwhaticando Posted 25 November 2007 Author Posted 25 November 2007 GREEEEEEEEEN FOR ENGLAND.Doesn't even get look in these day's. Saved one last game aswell if i remember rightly? That he did. He was the form keeper for a long time, and Mc****wit wouldn't bother to even pick him for the squad. Twat. Anyway, Keane really should have been booked for giving so much lip. He was at it before half time and then again before second half kick-off. Unbelievable. Yet, other players would give a word or two and get booked... he gave it twice as much as anyone else did, and escaped booking the whole time. Absolute bollocks handling of Keane, he was being a ****wit and should have been booked.
Joe. Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007  That's Spurs' season all over. I've said it for a little while now.... Robert Green for England perhaps? Worth a try I reckon.
Jack Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 I've said it for a little while now.... Robert Green for England perhaps? Worth a try I reckon. Ye i Agree, Green deserves a chance and seeing as every other english keeper has then i'd stick him in.

I agree, but the one person who really gets on my nerves is Gerrard! What a diving TossPot!
Floating Fox Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Just watched the highlights of the game and Don't think Green did any better than Robinson. Sure he saved a peno, but thats his 2nd penalty save in his whole pro career. He also fluffed up big time for there goal whereas if Robinson did it, they would have made a big deal about it! Yeah he's a good keeper but Robinson is better and more experienced. EDIT: Oh & yeah I don't think it was a penalty with Keane although it wasn't a dive IMO
lcfc_jme Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Defoe bottled it. Saw his name up in lights and lost his nerve. Bless.

Can't agree. It was a stonewall penalty, and therefore a red card. Sky replays clearly show Green raising his foot and catching Keane's chest. There was no reason for Keane to dive when he only had to tap the ball into an empty net. Once again England's top refs have excelled themselves this weekend. If we can import players and managers from overseas, why not match officials?

Manwell Pablo Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I think it was a stonewall penalty and a red card as well. Robbie Keane is a pretty honest player (A very under rated one as well) and I don't see him falling over when he could scored. Like others have said on here,He did, himself say "if he (ref) didn't give a penalty he should of booked me for diving" Rob Green also was at fault for the goal so
