I have read on another forum that there are strong rumours linking us with him, although Sunderland are keen too. Also I think Mark De Vries will come good. It's no coincidence that a year or so ago, teams like Sporting Lisbon were linked with him. Everyone is having a nightmare at City at present, but it doesn't mean they are all bad players. Just all playing badly at the minute. De Vries deserves to be given a chance before questions can be asked of him like they are with Connolly. Perhaps we are cursed, you never know, eh? Shame we missed out on Dave Nugent from Bury. He went to Preston for £150,000 and looks the business.

I also think De Vries will come good and that it is good to see Levein persevering a bit but I expect that Connolly will be dropped tommorow. I also see that Dawson isnt in the reserves squad so hopefully he's with the first team for Tuesday...

I thought we played well in patches on saturday the final execution of the ball what lacked. I wonder if Matty Piper would like a loan spell back here?

He looks OK, holds the ball up well for Connelly, just not having the rub of the green. COME ON GET BEHIND THE SQUAD. We need points not praise............. We can look back at the end of the season and see whats what then. If we would have won 4-0 would you still call MDV.

I remember seeing him away at Wimbledon in the promotion season, he ripped Taggart apart in that game!!! Taggart I know but hey He looked very impressive then and still is IMO. jimbo32 Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 dont know how good the info is,but one of the stewards i know has a mate that works for radio 5 and he reckons that were about to make a bid for jobi mcanuff from cardiff.Dont dismiss this straight away because cardiff are about to go into administration so think there looking to get rid of a large amount of there playing squad,and sold there captain for 350,000 to wigan last week and hes a player that craig would be intrested in young up and coming although he did struggle at west ham.

Maybury = Coming on very very well, could be a big part of the team next season. He's shown he's got a first touch and the like, although not best in the air, and it's not like the rest of the team are setting the division alight at the moment.
