davieG Posted 11 December 2007 Posted 11 December 2007 Brentford - maybe Just a funny thought From Sky Terry Butcher has left his position as manager of Brentford following the club's slide down the League Two table. The former England international only took on the job at the end of last season, but has presided over five successive league defeats. Reports had claimed that, prior to Saturday's 1-0 home loss to Grimsby Town, defeat would cost Butcher his job at Griffin Park. But Butcher revealed on Monday that he was confident he would be given time to turn the Bees' season around. He has not been afforded that luxury, with Brentford confirming Butcher has left the club by mutual consent. Andy Scott has been placed in temporary charge of the first team for Saturday's League Two encounter with Wrexham.
Ultra Posted 11 December 2007 Posted 11 December 2007 Given the circumstances in which he left them for MK Dons, I wouldn't have thought he'd be going back there any time soon. But you never know..
mancunianfox Posted 11 December 2007 Posted 11 December 2007 Serves Terry Butcher right for running his mouth off so much during the world cup.
