Not all players backed Ollie at Plymouth, infact many were pleased when he left...

Now where have i left my flannel..As a football fan i think you should take what the man says with a large pinch of salt..He wants what is best for him regardless of what this means for others.. i dont anticipate Leicester being relegated.... too much support...Or did the majority of the crowd jeer their own players recently??

:crylaugh:

Ideal i need to clean my bollox before my big night out :crylaugh:

Quoting yourself...first sign of madness mate.

Anyway, erm do we feel stupid... not really, why would we? We didnt appoint him!

Besides, hes inherited a pants squad. He'll show in January what hes really made of. What that is, we will see.

Hi all, I'm new here. I'm a Leicester fan living in Plymouth at the moment and I must say that there seems to be so much positivity down in Plymouth about their team and prospects now that Holloway has left them and joined us! Everyone seems to be genuinely relieved that he's gone and that Paul Sturrock has gone back to, in their opinion, finish what he started 5 years ago...

Hearing all this makes me really worried about our future. In fact, I think Milan has made a massive, MASSIVE mistake in appointing Mr Holloway, he seems to me to be a bit of a self-apreciating goon to be honest. I mean, look at all the media appeareances he has been making, while he's supposed to be training our team to try to stop us losing FFS!!!

Anyway, I've kinda given up on this season. I just hope we don't get relegated.

In fact, I'm starting to prepare for next season:

You're right !!!

You're going down and hopefully Ollie goes down with you !!!

Dont you lot look silly now. All the banter aimed at Argyle about taking Holloway, defending the underhand manner in which he left and now what ??? Argyle and Luggy in a much better position. Pretty funny if you ask me. By the way Argyle WON today. Just wondering if you and Ian Holloway know what that feels like ???

Good luck for the rest of the season. You'll need it. Especially wiht that lieing bastard in charge.

Oh Dear!

Another bitter Plymouth fan heartbroken at losing Ollie.

I spose you lot werent fussed about taking Sturrock from another club though??

Our team is having a bad time at the moment, mainly because our previous manager signed shit players, but when Ollie's signed his own players (including your best) we will turn it around.

We are, always have, and always will be a bigger/better club than you, and you know it.

Enjoy the good run you're on, cant see you getting promoted though, or winning the league cup(twice) like we have. :scarf:

No banter was aimed at you and if it was you came looking for it with the influx of PAFC fans spouting continual crap. When people say he moved because we are a bigger club they are not mocking, merely stating fact. And yes I do realise you do have a much better playing team and league position but that clearly means very little to manager's nowadays, as Holloway's move showed.

Unfortunately, no. I hope we don't, but I think we're really going down this season.

Preparations are well underway down here, for me, anyway:

A map of Oldham and surrounding area, even showing road links to Huddersfield! Two-for-one there, I think!

I wish i could share your belief, but i really think, with this fool in charge, the only way is down...

So despondent tonight, the amount of texts from my Plymouth supporting workmates is getting beyond a joke now...

Found another good map, this could be a good trip next season as it's quite close to us...

hi there, went to the game today and it was absolutely garbage. the whole team performance. it's not a personal attack on you personally it's on all of the players, it's just embarrasing travelling hundreds of miles just to see Leicester lose. Hull 2-0? Blackpool 1-0? Plymouth last year 3-0? But oh no, we can beat Premiership opposition with 8 defenders on the field, where has the fight and belief gone? absolutely piss poor, if you and your team mates have a 'gathering' i really hope you take a long hard look at yourself. The performance today wern't even worthy of the conference division. Regards.

Yes it was from me, maybe i'm immature about the comment. But enough is enough. He's done his time, as has all the other players.

Leicester, obviously...why?

Just wondered because there is loads of new people on here tonight and i wondered who you supported it wasnt a dig at you

Fair enough...it is kinda annoying how they keep coming on here pissing people off. But , to be fair, if Ollie had said all those things to us, then left to take over, say, Norwich, we'd be pretty annoyed too...

I really think our chairman's really made a big old boo boo with this managerial appointment...i would much rather have had someone like Jean Tigana, or a young up and coming guy. Someone like Paul Buckle at Torquay, who's doing really well with that team at the moment. I think i'd even have preferred Paul Sturrock over Ollie, but i think people within our club have too big an opinion of their status...someone like paul sturrock would not be an attractive enough name for them...and that's a shame, because mistakes like these will ultimately lead to our relegation this year...

Yay!!!

RedonRed is back !!!

How you been Red?? We've missed you!

Wahey!

Not too bad at all. How's things?

I was drifting through trying to gauge reaction on how things are going. Since Allen moved to you i've taken an interest.

Good result for you again today.

If things don't start to improve we might be playing you next season

Every season this thread comes up and every season we seem to get away with it, something tells me though that if we don't improve the disunity, this season we might be the ones that Leeds laugh at... :(

I am an optimist, but I see nothing but the relegation door if things don't improve, no one seems happy ATM, things don't seem to be working and worse yet, people aren't committed.

Hopefully in January we can clear out some deadwood, I don't care if it's a mass firing, we need to get rid of those not performing... I'd rather see our youth side give their all every week and get relegated than see what I am seeing now, it's just getting ridiculous, and it's another season of it, enough is enough.

Jean Tigana was approached, and ultimately turned the job down. An up and coming? You mean like Martin Allen? We've done the up and coming thing before, it hasnt worked. Holloway is a good age, he has the experience of managing clubs on a shoe-string in the championship and has done well at both clubs, but is still relatively young, and this time will have money.

You do have a point about the 'lower status' candidates though

I don't think it would matter if we had Arsene Wenger coaching this side ATM... they would still be crap as.

We've been through how many managers now, and it always ends in the same way, so clearly, it's not the managers fault we are as crap as we are.... it's the players and cattle he has underneath him.

We need a serious cleanout, if you don't want to show pride for this club and what it stands for, then f*** off... I know it's harsh, but frankly,we can't keep changing managers every 4 months to get the same thing time after time... Ollie seems to be a decent option, and to get rid of him now would be stupid IMO, he hasn't even been able to have his side yet.

The club lurches from one mistake to another, time to stop the rot now, and that rot isn't the manager who wants this club to succeed, it's not the owner who wants this club to succeed, it's not the fans who want this club to succeed, it's the players who half the time now look as though they are there to get paid... not to play for the club... and it sickens me.
