kirkwood Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Its a tough one, but would probably go for Lazcko. He was superb, running hard at the defence, getting good crosses in, plenty of step-overs as well. Oakley was quality, played it simple, some great passes and tackles, which rubbed off on Clemence, who had his best game for us. Humey's first touch was exceptional, especially from the high-balls, and big Stevie was a threat all game. Everyone played well, great win, shut the Coventry chavs up.Need to build on it next week.
Simon Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Hume and Laczko both had fantastic games, but I have to give it to Oakley, just for the difference he made to the midfield. He could arguably be the bargain buy of the transfer window in this league.
kirkwood Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Oakley was top notch, his style of play reminded me of Muzzy and how much we have missed this type of player.
Guest Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 It was tough to choose a man of the match for the sheer fact that so many played brilliantly. It was a well close call between Laczko, Clem, Oakley and Hume. I've chosen Laczko, fought for everything and was genuinely very exciting whenever he got the ball
danny. Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I opted for mccauley, thought he was solid - don't remember him not winning a header and some immense tackles stopping loads of potential goal scoring opportunities (even if 50% of those were offside)
