The thing with 'commercial' bands are some are in the limelight because they are actually a good band and others are there because they are 'different' and 'unique' but still crap e.g Franz Ferdinand, The Zutons etc.

Whilst quite a few of those listed in this thread do appear from time to time, I must conclude that you are watching different channels to me?

I live on a diet consisting mainly of Kerrang! & Scuzz with a sprinkling of MTV2

Have to say I'm bloody sick of seeing:

Guns n Roses

Blinkin Park with that Rapper bloke

Nirvana

I really miss P-Rock TV

At least, well i think Scuzz plays more or less than same music as P-rock did

I discovered a load of bands through P-Rock - Bands that never get a lookin on Scuzz

Example: Tsunami Bomb - Not as hardcore as most stuff I listen to, but alright - Saw them at The Charlotte last year - Was suprised how many people were there (How much was that to do with exposure on P-Rock?) - Also surprised that vast majority of the crowd were half my age!

Kerrang- plays alot of the same stuff alot of GnR (who i personally love),Nivana

Scuzz-My Fav channel plays more unknown bands but not as many as I would like them to.

Deathside + Petrestu do you know any good sites for unsigned or unknown punk and metal bands? Cos i am tired of listen to my current selection.

Must admit I get fed up of seeing Smells Like Teen Spirit everytime I turn on Kerrang, anyone would think it's the only song they ever released
