I'm on it. Having to go on my own so beats sitting in a boozer on my tod.

Lets see what sort of response we get. Just thought it was maybe a good but also realistic option given alot of people going for the weekend and it gives us a good opportunity to create some noise for the team if people in high spirits

yes sounds a great idea im going with some mates where is it getting started

well im imagining that the majority of places around the ground waya supporters will be not allowed. Apparently fan have had trouble up there so probably good idea to stay away from those but town is i very close. See what kind of response we get on here then sort something

Yeah this sounds like a plan - Been to Blackpool hundreds of times before and we would have the choice of the pubs in town of the seafront. You mentioned the pubs near the ground are hard to get into - I hope the Scotts bar doesn't count that place is legendary to my mates - 1.50 a pint of XXXX and they let you smoke inside - (Not for me I don't smoke but the freek weather reports of snow on sat might make this a good option for those that do) The landlord is a hero, he's in the nick for allowing punters to smoke but you can buy a T-Shirt from behind the bar to try and free him - the money probably goes to his bail money.

Anyway there is about six of us going - will have to get this sorted ouot soon tho, people should post some suggestions of times and places to begin. were going up early as the Scots bar let us in at 10.30 last time we went.

Also how many are making an weekend of it - Would be a laugh trying to take ove the Syndicate and all the B&B's!

three of us going for the weekend, bar called King Edward vii. Another brilliant pub, very big and open planned would be good to fill with our supporters. Lively atmosphere, music, pool tables etc.

Hi Fox fans, sorry to barge onto your board. Just been reading this thread and thought i'd offer you my local knowledge.

The number 1 club next to the away entrance always welcomes away supporters and is the base of BSA which is the offical supporters club for Blackpool fans. Also the waterloo on St. Annes Road is also good for away supporters and serves a great pint. There are also many pubs on Lytham Road still close to the ground the allow away supporters in, including a weatherspoons which you can never fail with. You shouldn't experience any trouble with home fans 99% are well behaved, you might get the odd gobsh**e chatting rubbish but i suppose you get that everywhere, blackpool fans are generally well behaved.

As for nightlife if you out after the game town gets lively about 9:30ish and Iwould recommend Queen Street to start at, a very good walkabout there. Also a few other good pubs and bars on this street. If you are planning to go to the famous syndicate nightclub be prepared to pay about £10 to get in, but if you like to dance to dance music/trance/hardhouse etc it is quality, its the biggest club in Britain and has the biggest Revolving dancefloor in Europe. Definatly a good experience. If you write these names down on a small bit of paper you will find most of the Taxi drivers know where they are goung and between 4-6 you wont pay more than £2 each on a journey. I look forward to seeing you all out saturday night as i always love a bit of banter with the away lads as most away supporters have been superb up here this season. I'd like to apologise in advance for the away end, its a joke and you should not be made to sit in there. If the singers try and bunch up togeher near the home fans it usually makes for good atmosphere although a few teams have struggled to get the atmosphere going(coventry were appauling) Stoke however made a superb noise in there so hopefully you will be able to create it. Apprently a lad brings a drum to away games...tell him not to, as we have two drums both of which are huge and usually the lad with the away drum is too embarrased to use it after hearing our two drums going....anyway all the best have a safe journey up and hope its a good game.
