Geo V Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 we definatley need 3 more defenders.what would happen in a match if say kisnorbo and mcauly are suspended or injured i aint sure our defence would be great then Chambers can be the man at right-back and we have enough cover there, our centre-halfs are amongst the best in this division and N`Gotty is a decent back-up and Mattock is OK at left-back and although Clapham has arrived, I still think thats a weakness in our side but overall defence is the least of our worries. Im not sure why we would want to get 3 defenders in after selling/loaning some weak players out.

We have yet to see the best of Chambers who has more attacking instincts which is what we need.

We have yet to see the best of Chambers who has more attacking instincts which is what we need. noting apparently about it, in recent games he has been 1 of our better performers, you and plenty others seem to have a grudge against him for no reason what so ever. 3 managers have preferred him to Chambers now, does that not tell you that Chambers (who was released by WATFORD) may not be as good as you are making out?

Don't think he was released, they offered him a new contract but he wanted to change clubs. Watfords fans were disapointed to lose him as far as i know. plus everytime he has played for us recently, in alien positions, he has done pretty well. I still think he would be our best right back, but would be harsh on Stearman to drop him after picking up his performances.
