Finchy Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 Anyone watch it? Those people in america really annoy me, those parents have brain washed their kids. That black guy was clearly just tying to scam people out of money. I'm glad they got what they deserved in New York, i don't usually smile when a young kid cries but i did then because he needed to be told.
DB11 Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 Nope. What was it about? Young people who believe in God?

You don't need to go the America to find kids who've been brain-washed about religion. Throughout history religion has proved a wonderful tool for instilling fear and getting power over people.

MC Prussian Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 same can be said for atheist families. they teach their kids that what they believe is right... I've never heard a father imposing atheist law upon his family: "Son, you shall not believe in that thing they call God-Allah-or-whatever!"
MPH Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 I've never heard a father imposing atheist law upon his family:"Son, you shall not believe in that thing they call God-Allah-or-whatever!" well i came from an Atheist family. My mum was very much against the idea of God and told me on many occasions that christians were just crackpots. If thats just me, then i would be suprised if no one else told their kids that religion was a load of baloney..
Guest Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 I was brought up in an atheist family, but my parents always told me I could believe what I wanted, as long as I wanted to, and not because of peer pressure or whatever. I was never stopped from going to church (being in the Brownies, and for a short time, the Guides, I had to go). I've heard the sermons, I've even read part of the book, but when they offered me the T-shirt, I politely declined. For once, my parents were right.
