Well yeah i thinks it unlikely but the fact that BBC news did a report on how it works got me thinking. Not to worry tho lol, i don't think i'd like to risk it.

Erm these sites do work, I know someone who got an xbox. Its all to do with referrals. If you know 20 and can get them to sign up to a website eg http://www.thefreegiftguide.co.uk/ and do an offer. Obviously everyone's a winner you don't get it for "free". The website gets money through you doing the offer. I liken it too a pyramid scheme but the people in it know that only one person is gonna get the xbox....

Never take part in these there all scams.

So naive!!

The fact is yes they work, those site in particular are fine. There are SOME that have turned out to be scams - but I have personally used the apple.incentives site before and got a nano for £5 for the coral offer. Yeah i lost the bet but I'm not complaining :)

But it is well hard to get referrals, they make their money by people getting one or two then giving up. Becuase no one believes these are real like most of you!

I actually signed up for one of these.

Not because I was fooled into thinking I'd get a free sony laptop

I signed up for the required three third party offers which I was happy to do (book and dvd clubs that sort of thing) you then have to wait for them to be "completed" the first two were dome almost immediately the third however wasn't forthcoming. A few months later I recieved an email stating that my application had been cancelled due to not completing them in the time allowed(3 months).

They basically get you to sign up, complete two of the offers you've signed up for and drag their heels on completing the third and your time runs out.

A scam it is sir a free ipod it is not

I now get sent three random books every month.

I then cancel the order but they never ask for the books back!
