Scarby Posted 21 March 2005 Share Posted 21 March 2005 I think Heskey has been good up front for Brum this year he hasnt put many away but he has set up a few and been causing problems for defenders. Heskey and Defoe up front - Deadly
Mark Posted 21 March 2005 Share Posted 21 March 2005 No, he's a decent enough player now he's moved to Birmingham but he's been tried, tested, and tested again and it's never worked. Four goals in 40+ caps?
Guest Daniel Posted 21 March 2005 Share Posted 21 March 2005 No way good enough for England. France have Henry and we have Heskey.
Anish Posted 21 March 2005 Share Posted 21 March 2005 Good sqaud player but isn't going to score the vital goals needed at international level.
Guest Posted 21 March 2005 Share Posted 21 March 2005 There isn't really a plethora of English forwards waiting in the wings, though.
Hazza Posted 21 March 2005 Share Posted 21 March 2005 Yes, even though i'm biased with him being a local lad, he gives England a different option from the small and pacey strikers that we have as all other realistic choices. I'd rather have Bruno than Vassell, any day.
Cobbo Posted 22 March 2005 Share Posted 22 March 2005 Heskey offers something different up front. Power, pace, good in the air. A good sub to maybe throw on if we are looking to hold the ball up or play a few long balls... Go on Bruno

Scow Posted 23 March 2005 Share Posted 23 March 2005 As I said in another thread, he offers us something different upfront. He combines aerial ability with pace and strength. Not the most composed player in front of goal, but any striker will appreciate playing alongisde Heskey for all the unselfish work he does.
