S****horpe will beat us at home!

Why you may ask? Well, they've not won away since December and this season has been full of records coming to a end at Leicester, good and bad. i.e. Crystal Palace winning streak coming to an end OR Southampton not winning under their new manager until meeting City!!!

Put your money on it now boys and girls!!!

You could be right, Rotherham comes to mind from a few seasons ago. Hadn't won away & only 1 win all season & beat us on boxing day. We struggle against the bottom teams

we've got a brilliant run of fixtures coming up. on paper we should get at least 8 points from the next possible 12, but it just wont happen. it never, ever does with us. we underperform so often against smaller/easier teams.

Its really strange we seem to play better against the teams near the top of the table and don't play very well against the teams at the bottom. Is it because the teams at the bottom seem to get behind the ball and we struggle to break them down, yet the teams at the top play more flowing football against us which suits us better as it means we can play football rather than hoofball. I dunno, just a thought.

I would rather our last 7 games were all against teams near the top, rather than playing teams near the bottom, i really think we would pick up more points

...that we're going to hammer everyone from now to the end of the season and then have an unbeaten season in 08/09 having secured automatic promotion by Christmas.

So there!

It isn't because of any monkey on our backs or nonsense like that. We don't break them down for one simple reason. Apart from isolated occasions and usually in particular circumstances it is years since we ever consistently attacked anyone in numbers, with pace and using movement across the width of the pitch.

Look at the Kelly era. How do you break anyone down with eight defensive players in a starting line-up? Holloway's no different on occasions, especially away from home. And even when we have been at home our approach to breaking people down has often been predictable and ill supported.

The reason teams pack their defence is simple. They don't believe they are good enough to win by coming at you. And the answer is to get at them and get the first goal as fast as possible. That will get them committing at least a little more to attack which should make the chances of fashioning a second goal easier.

Another important thing is to vary attacks and to get players shooting from everywhere. There's nothing more unsettling for defences.

Teams that funnel back love to hold the line just in front of the penalty area. But if players are shooting from 30 yards there's always the chance of a deflection or a rebound so defenders have to move out and try to close the striker down - more space behind them.

If the attacking team is also unpredicatable with the final ball, delivering high cross and low crosses, hard crosses and spinning crosses it keeps defenders guessing and they hate that just as they hate attackers constantly changing positions.

The manager needs to put different skills in his line up. One who holds the ball, others who pass quickly, others who take people on and make sure variety is maintained.

The final thing is to tell his players not to get anxious nor to panic if they go a goal down. If he gets them to keep following the plan then more often than not it will work. Defenders are fine when they know what will happen next and when they're numerically superior. The attacking team should make sure neither is the case and that they're always having to think and make different decisions. That's when mistakes occur.

Not by keeping the same two up front, by contracting the space and by feeding the same types of passes.

Don't get me wrong mate I'm the first person to stick behind the lads, and back the team. I'm just saying this seasons been full of random records going at Leicester, I just think this one will be no different considering how the seasons gone so far! And I don't just go to the cheap ones pal, been down about 10 times this season which is actually quite good considering where i live and work etc
