Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Can't believe I missed this one, I'm so gutted. HA! YOU FUCKERS! THAT WAS FOR WEST BROM!
Paddy Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 All the team and management get a big fat ZERO - 0Whilst henderson is in goal we will lose everygame, he made a few decent saves today but to be honest I'd prefer no keeper at all to him. Hume was MOTM, for not turning up. Holloway -1 for 30,000 fans being up for the match and he gets a -1 for not even thinking a draw might be a decent return today. Failed Failed Failed Keep the faith, more like keep your sanity Did you go to the game? If not, have you read any other reviews? Henderson had a great game. Credit where credits due. The 6 games recently with him between the sticks we have won 2, drew 1 and lost 3. Alnwick's last 6 - won 2, lost 4. Pretty similar. Keeper is not the problem. The problem we have is finding the back of the net. I agree it was an aweful performance by most involved...
Sods Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 McAuley had his worst ever display in a City shirt. I would say the same about Kisnorbo but he did have an aweful start here. Stearman had a good game although their is still people quick to blame everything he does. Kelvin was a different player, bit dissapointed. Barry showed the passion we needed he might not have the ability but my word you can see he cares.

dandannieldanok Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 He tried to be Claude Makalele and failed miserably. Why the hell did I not go to this game, watching that would have been worth the entrance fee.
Fat Ron Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 Now I have had time to chill out and calm down I shall attempt to give my views without upsetting my pacemaker again.. Henderson was quality, kept us in the game with several top drawer saves including the penalty. Kicking was a bit sh*t but only as bad as everyone elses attempts to hoof it forward. Clapham/Stearman looked decent, nothing spectacular but solid enough, only gripe was too many wasted long balls!! Keep the ball and the opposition cant score Kisnorbo & McAuley were awful, had no commanding presence at the back, done for pace more than once and again far too many lump balls upfield. McAuleys' attempt to clear the 2nd (the falling with no style) was embarrasing. Hendrie. Looked great, plenty of running and seemed to have a few moves/ideas....Problem was he appeared to have a free role in the midfield constantly popping up on the right, left or centre with nobody covering him. Because of that we lost all balance in midfield and moves broke down pretty much as soon as we had the ball (on the deck!!!) because we had no outlet. N'Gotty. Not a midfielder in fairness to the bloke but as he was supposed to be playing a holding role he should have defended much better than he did. Again didn't seem to have a clue when he had won the ball what to do with it, inevitably ended up with a hoof! Howard. Well, what a difference a week makes. Awful. Under normal circumstances I would say that it was down to the distinct lack of support play from midfield and the lack of crosses from out wide.. However for me, he loses that argument after an incident in the 2nd half at only 1-0 nil he attempted to run with the ball under no pressure and ran the ball out of play.. WTF?!?!? Fryatt Ineffective, too slow to play out wide. Hayles look decent enough but again no support from midfield what can he do? All in all it was a shocking performance that deserved exactly what we got, **** all. The only thought that saves our blushes this time round are that Hull are the in form team at the moment and are brimming with confidence. Games against Sc*nny, Colchester & Wednesday were must win before this but now even that may not help us. Shocked, appalled, disillusioned yet bizarrely hopeful that we can get 3 points against Scunny.
