Father Ted Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Right then, there has been a lot of talk about the future of Ollie with people umming and arring about his future. I thought that I would try and clean that up and see what all of your opinions are. And so if you were MM what would you do with Ollie. THIS IS NOT AN OLLIE OUT THREAD, JUST A THREAD TO SEE WHAT PEOPLES OPINIONS ARE, DELETE IF YOU REALLY WANT MODS. I can't seem to get a poll working so here are the options - what would you do? 1) Keep Him 2) Sack Him 3) 1 more chance 4) Keep him until the end of the season 5) Not Sure 6) Put him on leave until the end of the season and then bring him back at the beginning of next season.
sdb Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 try something different, e.g. stick by a manager just want to say that i'm glad MM is here. sure we're in a big pickle but it'd be worse without him imo
C-man Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Keep Ollie till the end of the season, then make an educated decision. The decision should be dependant on what league we're in, how well we finish this season, whether or not there are any suitable replacements, and how much stablility really matters to Mandaric.
davieG Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 I'd have thought we'd covered every way you could this type of debate - but there you go it seems like desperate times on the pitch equates to desperate topics in the forum.
escape2victory Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 we will get 7 out of 9 at home and pick up the odd point away and finish the season in 19th and wonder what the fuss was about. Then give him a few bob in the summer and clear the deadwood out and make a decision on Mr Holloway at c'mas. Or more likely, if we fail to win on sat, sack the baffoon.

In effect it's a Ollie out/stay thread - how is that different to an Ollie out poll
clazkel Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 I think keep him till the end of the season and if he keeps us up and put in some convincing wins to keep us up then keep him, but if we go down then probably get rid of him as i don't think the fans will forgive him as he has had plenty of time to sort the team out. I believe he has changed the team too much, he just needed to motivate the players who were already at the club as even Ollie said their heads were down when he arrived. He only had to add afew players not the amount the he has added. I think MM should tell him to play Hume and Fryatt up front and forget Howard and the wingers. IMO Hume and Fryatt are more than capable of keeping us up if they get the service and i think the midfield we have now is better than it has been for afew season so i think they will get better service than they have had before and make a great partnership!

I thought mine was only barely original, this one's not only unnesscessary but been done. I'm closing it but you've left it, so if you actually think this is worthwhile feel free to overrule me.

You run a tight ship here, this bit's particularly well run. Glad you don't mind me lobbing my weight around occasionally.
lookwhaticando Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 It's cosy in this topic now that the masses have been kicked out. Anyone fancy a cuppa?

I hope that feeling is not due to anything I've said or done because I'm quite happy for the Forum Mods to have the first stab and upto now I think it's improved a lot since all the new guys & gals came on board. Lob your weight around all you like, some people need leaning on
