DanTheFox07 Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 Ive had a lot of time to think bout whats happened To our club this season, ive read many posts not just on this forum but others also. Once taking everything into consideration and Thinking about my own Opinion on where we have gone wrong This is what I Think. First of all Quite clearly Martin Allen was made a scapegoat by milan mandaric at the start of the season for Below standard Players that were purchased all of this going through mandaric and being allowed to go through. So personally I think mandaric is as much to blame for the players we bought pre season and some of them are still on our wage bill and not even getting a game for example hellings and kishishev so why we still have certain players in the squad Im unsure. Then you have the situation where we have changed our manager twice obviously the second change was due to the fact bolton came in for megson and he wasn`t gonna turn down the opportunity to manage a premiership club, So when u look at the fact the players have never had time to settle under one manager and for him to install a system and mentaility which Holloway has been telling us all he has been trying to do it is clear Players have been found wanting of more stability at a club which hasn`t stay true to the word for a long time. Transfers at the club is something which has bothered me for such a long time, we can`t seem to get the right players through the door here! going back to the day where we spent 5million pounds on ade akinbiyi to this season where weve bought Dj campbell who weve brought in for 1.5million rising to 2million if i remember rightly depending on appearences who when has played hasn`t been the answer to our cry`s for A Goalscorer who can get 15-20 goals and you have to have one in ur team to do well, you only have to look at all the top team`s and they have strikers in double figures. All in all when u take what I have said into consideration who would u blame for our current position, holloway has inherited such a poor squad and a lot of you are saying he should get the sack, personally I think that would damage the reputation of the club yet again and I think Mandaric is more to blame since he has not been able to identify where the club needs strengthening and done it. If we do get relegated which isnt a foregone conclusion considering how tight it is at the bottom between ourselves soton and coventry, then I would keep holloway and let him rebuild the sqaud over the summer. On a positive note however I think Leicester`s youth policy is one thing maybe that will promise we still have a bright future.
