Ric Flair Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Your team has just lost 5-1, no reason to murder somebody. Idiot. Nobody should die watching football. RIP. Absolutely, but i'm surprised there aren't more football related deaths. I mean, people are getting killed every weekend in drunken attacks probably just for dareing to look at the wrong person or perhaps spilling a drink. Football violence is pathetic, but it has always surprised me either how little that occurs or how little that get's reported of serious injuries or even deaths. I hope that's down to good policing, but probably not.
Flynny Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Wouldn't be suprised if they're reported that the arrested man is also a Villa fan just to stop retaliation from Villa fans. I'm not saying thats definitely happened, but it really wouldn't suprise me.

I'm not saying thats definitely happened, but it really wouldn't suprise me. I thought the exact same thing. Witnesses also reported that there were hand gestures exchanged with the driver. So it sounds like either the police are lying to stop villa fans retaliating, It was a personal agruement that that nothing to do with the football match or the driver and victim mistook each other for rival fans. Either way its a terrible loss of life and my sympathy goes out to the victims family and freinds.
