RedOnRed Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 You defended well today and were unlucky not to get something out of it. However, as an impartial observer of the match I would say that if you want to get straight back up you'll need to strengthen your team quite a bit. All the best and see you next season at Stadium MK.
wirralsimon Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 It wasn't about today. We have been sh*t all season! Simon
RedOnRed Posted 4 May 2008 Author Posted 4 May 2008 Thanks for the support, wanna swap managers? No thanks mate. Although I have to say that almost a year ago I took loads of abuse on this site for stating that Martin Allen wasn't good enough for you lot and would lay the foundations for messing up your club. Perhaps he wasn't totally to blame.

Perhaps he wasn't totally to blame. He laid the foundations alright. A lovely crushed aggregate of bullshit with elements of Holland, Denmark and Brentford. Still... at least he planted some lovely flowers.
Flynny Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Martin Allen's been gradually more and more villainised throughout the season and its pissing me off. He was doing just fine with what he had, how the fook was he supposed to know he'd get the boot and someone else'd have to use what he'd got? I'm confident we'd be top half if he was still here. He gave us our highest league position since Adams left. Milan's biggest and only really massive blunder was getting rid of him.

It's a shame for him that since he left you no chairmen seem to share your confidence and respect in him. The last I heard he was helping out coaching at his local club - non league Maidenhead United.

RedOnRed Posted 4 May 2008 Author Posted 4 May 2008 I do hope you didn't take my post genuinely seriously. Don't worry mate, I grasped your subtle blend of irony.
Daggers Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 You defended well today and were unlucky not to get something out of it. We did, we got a point. That's what you get from draws.

Master Fox Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Don't worry mate, I grasped your subtle blend of irony. I heard you loud and clear Red, back at the start of this season. One of only a few. what a shame. Onwards & Upwards

RedOnRed Posted 4 May 2008 Author Posted 4 May 2008 I heard you loud and clear Red, back at the start of this season. One of only a few. what a shame. Onwards & Upwards Hey Master, how's things?

Makes me wonder if there's a reason for that confidentiality clause, Allen did something horrific (no idea what) and it's known in Football League circles. Quite possible.
