To be fair, Mike Bassett got England to the semi-finals and he received a hero's welcome when he came home

Seriously though, the Fa are a joke. Basically they are telling the players that 75% is good enough, you don't have to try after that. Hopefully Cappello will ignore this and fire up his players to do better. It's no suprise we never win things with the governing body's attitude and expectations.

Without seeing the wording that target sounds a bit lame surely the target is to win it! Or are they saying if he doesn't get to the SFs he'll be sacked. Didn't Sven get scked for taking us that far?

That's how I read the title, what wrong with setting that as a target when we've only reached quarters in the least 3 competitions?
