thecannon Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Im really looking forward to next season, people might think that im a bit crazy because we ara in a s*it league. But for some reason i am, its something different, as we have never been down there. Im just looking forward to going to completely different grounds than we're used to, and having a good laugh. For some reason, i love this club more now then i did. Anyone else feeling this way at all?
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Obviously I was gutted when we went down & i would prefer to stay up but now that it's happened I'm feeling a lot more positive about next season. I completely agree about looking forward to going to a load of new grounds & I'm also looking forward to hopefully winning a few matches as well. Well up for it!!
Number1flanker Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I do !! Should be good ... Going to new grounds and some stadiums with standing !!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Me too. Can't wait to sample the beers in Hartlepool. A bird I know supports Orient so job's a good 'un there. Yo-evil's a right laff and as for Northampton. Bring it on.........

Anyone else feeling this way at all? Yup MK Bowl will be like nothing we seen before!! ............ Oh hang on it's exactly like the Walkers!! Seriously though - grounds with terracing have far more character than the quickfit bowls we had in the Championship (bar Colchester and Scunny of course ...................... who of course are now in League 1 with us!)

I've never been to a terraced ground, is the atmospeare better than usual?
SamL Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I've never been to a terraced ground, is the atmospeare better than usual? About the same really. It's just better to actually be allowed to stand up.

Can be a bit tough on the knees if you're a bit long in the tooth. I was at Anfield in 1973 (went to see the Scousers play Mank City) and stood in the Kop. 55,000. My feet never trouched the ground for the whole, of the game. Heaven help the man that got carried into a crash barrier and couldn't defened himself. Don't suppose it will be like that at Hereford though.
Brainy Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 For some reason, i love this club more now then i did. Anyone else feeling this way at all? I think the relegation has brought many fans closer to the club. Thats the feeling I get reading some of the posts on this forum anyway.
Ibbyfox Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I've never been to a terraced ground, is the atmospeare better than usual? More nostalgia for me really. Harking back to the days I used to stand on the kop terracing at Filbert Street. S'why I still go to watch Hinckley Utd coz still love standing at games. Atmosphere at Filbo used to be better when it was mainly terraced but that just may be a "different era" thing. Tend to get more chance of everyone singing whilst standing rather than a few patches of singing when sat at the Walkers.
