Mav Posted 9 May 2008 Author Posted 9 May 2008 I can play the shoe!Shoes off if you love Lecuester... Well shoes are better than nothing! I'll bring the spoons!
Munzie Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Well shoes are better than nothing! I'll bring the spoons! Notice I've spelt Leicester with a You rather than I. Teamwork
thecannon Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 If only! Trouble is, its only a few of the back rows that sing! However, against sheff wed, at the start, it was a brill atmospeare!
AoWW Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 In my language, a 'brass' is a lady of ill-repute. Having a section for them in the Kop would certainly spice it up a bit. I am in favour. Such a shame you'll miss out on this when you move to the depths of chav-dom.
Munzie Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Trouble is, its only a few of the back rows that sing! However, against sheff wed, at the start, it was a brill atmospeare! Wouldn't it be fantastice if we got that next yaer. Need it more tham ever
thecannon Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Wouldn't it be fantastice if we got that next yaer. Need it more tham ever Yeah it would be good, and we so need it! We need to get behind our lads, and lift them! But it would be good at least if most of the Kop was standing and singing, and then that would really generate an atmospeare!
Mav Posted 9 May 2008 Author Posted 9 May 2008 I'm sorry my ranting's may be misleading, I do not wish for the hooliganism to return but I do wish that we could unite and be proud of Leicester the City. We have always been amongst the top cities in Europe, if not the world for our culture, inginuity and things we have given to the world. If you go through our history we have always been in the Top 20 cities in Europe for prosperity, sport (whether it be Rugby, football, cricket, etc.), engineering, etc. etc., hosiery, textiles. ****, we've even had a singer in Vegas for thirty years+ - Engelbert Humperdinck! Which is more than any of our neighbours, what can they possibly have done better than us? - NOTHING! United we stand, Divided we'll fall!
Munzie Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Yeah it would be good, and we so need it! We need to get behind our lads, and lift them! How about putting a song book on every seat of the Kop for the first game of the new season with a brass band and conductor just behind Hendo's goal (or whoever we employ)?
Mav Posted 9 May 2008 Author Posted 9 May 2008 How about putting a song book on every seat of the Kop for the first game of the new season with a brass band and conductor just behind Hendo's goal (or whoever we employ)? Anything to get the fans going! Sounds good. Let's all just do a conga around the stand and see how long we can do it!

That would be interesting! . But i do think that quite a lot of the kop should stand up and sing, if they do not like it they can sit in a different stand, instead of just some of the back rows! We could try intimidate the oppisition!

lildave3 Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Anything to get the fans going! Sounds good. Let's all just do a conga around the stand and see how long we can do it! ONE MORE FOR THE CONGA GANG! 3!!!!!! (I really hope you're not the same person as number 2, I forget names)
Munzie Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Anything to get the fans going! Sounds good. Let's all just do a conga around the stand and see how long we can do it! I was invited to a Leeds home game earlier in the season. Despite thier turmoil the atmosphere was supurb. I remember turning to mate and stating that the Walkers could do with some of this.

thecannon Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Yes, this is what we need, intimidate the opposition! Thank You for putting it in simple terms. Because you see some teams that for example, go to Anfield in Europe and some of the teams struggle to play there because of the atmospeare is quite intimidating. So if we get it at leicester and try to intimedate them, im not saying that the atmospeare will be as good as anfield! But some of the League 1 teams will struggle because they dont really play in front a very good atmospeare, and it could try put them off!
Munzie Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Perhaps if we were winning every game then it would be... Does it start with the players inspiring the crowd with thier performance or the other way around?

Most of the season we have had higher attendances than teams in the Premiership! We could intimidate anybody. How do you upset For&*t? - You sing 'Your not famous anymore!' And they hate it! That's what we need to intimidate the opposition and make it very very hard for them so they don't want to come here because they know it would be a nightmare for them to play - Advantage Leicester!
thecannon Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Does it start with the players inspiring the crowd with thier performance or the other way around? BOTH!

EXACTLY! Comeon lets get behind them! Other teams will struggle to play in front of the atmospeare. The fans could justdrown out the away fans.
Munzie Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 BOTH! If the fans did the Post Horn Gallop Conga (accompanied by a full brass band) whilst I was playing football, I feel this may be a tad off-putting!
James. Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 I can actually play the trumpet. Admittedly I haven't played for awhile but I AM classically trained, don't ya know. This could be my moment of glory.
Mav Posted 9 May 2008 Author Posted 9 May 2008 Does it start with the players inspiring the crowd with thier performance or the other way around? If the crowd inspire the players, the players will then play for the team and the crowd and feel a part of the club. If they don't like the crowd then they won't come here because like all chancers, they always get caught out when there bullshitting. If you give 100% and you have a crap game, the crowd will still give you an applause, if you give 5% and say '**** you, I don't care what they say, I still get £10,000 for this crap' then we don't want you here. Go away.
